Home Sweet Home

I have nothing, but positive reviews on this complex. I love how they have improved since I recently moved in! I have only been living here for 6 months. I see a lot of people complaining however; they have fixed many issues since then. Before it was unmanageable and not update to date when I moved in, yet it’s improved farther than my expectations. From what I have read, a variety of residents don’t know the inside and outs of ResLink, however, if you simply explore the website you can make... payments with multiple cards and manage your account easier. I have had a WONDERFUL experience here at McCauly Crossings. Holly and Megan have been nothing but kind and communicative with us. Anytime there was an issue, Holly was right there to fix it. For example: the trash would pile up, yet when Holly was informed she fixed it right away. When it states luxury, they mean it. If there is a problem to arise with any detailing in the apartment, maintenance works pretty quickly if you notify them. Holly always has her door open making it feel like I am heard in this community. In addition, if you want anything changed like your carpet before you move in they will get it done! They go over and beyond for their residents. Not to mention McCauly Crossings has dog trash bags stations all over, a cute walking path near the pond, drivable speed bumps, the gates are always working, garage options, yards on the lower levels for pets, a pet playground, grills at the pool, a movie theater, and so much more! Yes the prices may be pricey, yet it’s worth it since I would choose being in a safe up kept complex then a lower price apartment that has my safety at risk. The neighbors are kind and wonderful to be around. It’s quiet and safe with barely any major noise or crime. I am proud to say it’s my home. I hope this review helps anyone looking for a place to live. There is so much in store, if you got any questions just simply call into the complex and they will be more than happy to help!!!!

Most dishonest place ever!

I stayed at this complex and they falsely sued me for an eviction two months AFTER I moved out. Although Butler County court ruled in my favor, the company then sold the illegitimate debt to a debt collector. I have been dealing with this dishonest complex for years and am now forced to pay for a lawyer once again to sue them. Short of sleeping in your car, I would find anywhere else on earth to live rather than McCauly Crossing.

Worst apartment I’ve ever lived in

Horrible experience. We were lied to at our initial walk through. We were told the papers we signed were just an application and to confirm our spot on the waitlist. A few months later we decided to rescind our waitlist spot and were told we had actually signed a lease. We didn’t even have a unit assigned to us. We asked to break this as we were still months out from the move in and were told we could not. The employees at the office were awful and rude. The apartment we got itself was... disgusting. When we came to get the keys at the time they told us to be there we were turned away and told it was still being cleaned. We come back two hours later and the apartment we got was filthy. The employee who came with us to do the walk through even had to throw paper towels on the ceiling to knock cobwebs down. There was dirt all over the kitchen, pieces of the floor missing, and they hadn’t turned the water on. Throughout the year we lived there we had a horrible experience. The AC went out multiple times, the shower wall rotted and fell off, there were wasps in our unit all spring, management never salted in the winter so it was constantly iced over. Management was incredibly rude, unhelpful, and unresponsive. There were so many hidden fees upon move in and move out. We couldn’t wait to end our lease. DO NOT live here.

Fees through the roof.

At first glance, the apartment looked nice but the employee seemed nice. What they did not include in the tour was a list of the long and expensive non-refundable fees associated with the property so I thought I’d post them and pricing that were told to us only after asking. We were told a non refundable $399 admin fee, $100 application fee, non refundable $1000 pet fee (I’m not sure how you can claim to be pet friendly with this high of a non refundable fee), $100/month pet fee for 2 dogs,... ~$250 for water/sewage/internet/trash/cable, $100-150 for electricity, and $700 or $1600 deposit. These are just the fees they told me after asking and wouldn’t be surprised if there were more hidden fees after signing. At the end of the day, all the fees made this apartment way more expensive than the other nicer apartments in the area, even with the $200/a month discount. Make sure you’re ok with these fees before touring the property.
