Horrible Management

Management ignores maintenance requests including broken heating units and raccoons in the building.

New management is awful

Building was great until it was bought by new management several months ago. New management is totally incompetent and has gotten rid of the live-in super. Maintenance requests go completely unacknowledged for weeks, building is no longer regularly cleaned, package room is disorganized making it impossible to find packages. Took them 3 tries to send a correct lease renewal because they copy pasted numbers into the wrong places. Impossible to even get management on the phone to complain about... these issues.

Terrible value, gouging management company

The new management company will randomly and without remorse raise your rent from lease to lease by hundreds of dollars. They took over a month to fix my washer dryer, which was just getting stuck mid-wash and when they did, they just replaced it with the cheapest possible unit, which continued to have the same problem. There is water damage under the sinks, and neighbors also complained of leaks and water damage in the closet from sewage. Tenants often leave trash in random areas. Entrance is... dusty. There is NO GYM, no concierge, and no indoor community space. The views to NYC and natural lighting are obstructed by construction.

The building boasts a lovely rooftop but the grills and sinks are constantly broken, and the couches are always soaked when it rains because they aren't waterproof. There is no shady area so you can only realistically be up there at dusk unless you want to burn in the summer.

The neighborhood is terrible. You step outside and people are asking you for money and drugs, yelling and spitting. The closest gym is a 10-minute walk and it's the only gym in the area, so it is packed, stuffy and smelly.

The apartments are so cheaply made and illogically designed. the living room areas are awkward in size and shape. One-bedroom apts have room for either a couch or a table, not both, so having guests is awkward because there isn't much room for seating. Yet, the bathrooms are large enough to fit a queen size bed for some reason.

Bedrooms also awkwardly sized. Enough room for a queen bed and ONE nightstand, and a very small desk for a work area. Yet, the kitchen is huge and takes up an awkward amount of space right in the entrance.

They are ONLY wired for Verizon FiOs, so if you want Xfinity, you are literally not allowed to get it.

Management is unresponsive and will take forever to get your requests in.

Walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors talking, their dogs barking, and beating their children. There is no peace.

For all the monye they're asking, you can literally live downtown with far nicer amenities and decent management.
