Rude property management, the apartments are poorly made, no response if anything needs to be fixed, super acting like he owns the place, Steve - property manager is rude and lies when showing the property or addressing concerns. People steal packages and nothing gets done. Not worth the money or mental health

Not very peaceful
Thin walls, noisy neighbours and they deduct a lot from your security deposit!

Wonderful building, chef's kitchens!
I work from home and the experience of taking zoom calls while gazing at Lady liberty and watching the barges and ships sailing under the Verrazano Bridge has definitely made me more productive. The chef's kitchen with powerful gas ranges, generous counter spaces and thoughtfully laid out storage have made cooking such a pleasure. I am so happy about how much sunlight pours into my apartment most of the day. The layout of spaces in the apartment is gorgeous. This is definitely one of the best... rentals I have lived at.
The management has gone above and beyond at each of my interactions - starting right on the day of leasing. My apartment was spotlessly clean and the super was so kind during the move. Since then, the management has shown several kind gestures, stopping by to check in, responding fast to all emails and listening to suggestions.
The neighborhood is a little rough around the edges with occasional littering but nothing too egregious. I have already met with several of my neighbors in the building and their cute dogs. I am pretty sure the community will only get better as more neighbors move in. The food in the one-mile radius is phenomenal. Cannot recommend this building more highly.
I just moved into 134 Baldwin a week ago and I am thoroughly enjoying everything here. The strongest points for me are the huge windows with plenty of sunlight, the beautiful views of lady liberty and the Verrazano bridge. I have been on so many zoom calls at work and feel I can concentrate better as I see ships sailing into the NYC harbor.
I cook quite a lot and the kitchen is a chef's dream. The appliances are top notch and there is generous counter space. The huge windows next to the open... kitchen makes for an even more amazing cooking/eating experience.
The management team has been exceptionally responsive in my first week - they promptly installed window screens at my request, scrupulously cleaned the place so it was more than move-in ready, were accommodating of my request for a fast sign up process, and have been generally receptive to all the ideas I have been throwing at them. I can only see this building and the community grow better with years. I have also run into several neighbors at the building and some very cute dogs - everyone seems friendly and committed to the neighborhood. The live-in super, Carlos, has been kind and helpful. I will update my reviews as my lease term continues.
The neighborhood is a bit rougher around the edges than say, downtown JC, with more littering on the streets than usual. However, I have had no safety concerns walking around. The food around the place is phenomenal - a signature of the Journal Square neighborhood. You can pretty much get the best representation of any cuisine within a walking distance. Some useful grocery stores are around the corner. Many new developments and choices will improve this neighborhood over time. I highly recommend that anyone looking for an inspiring, and convenient place to live consider 134 Baldwin.

I love my apartment!
The building is brand new, and the apartment is designed very well. It is spacious and every detail is well thought out. I have 260 sq ft of windows and that is great because the view is amazing. I have had roommates since I came to nyc and I am so glad I finally made the move to get my own place. I am one of the first ones in but the few neighbors I have met have been very friendly and the super is very helpful.
