I am sharing my personal experience as a resident so prospective residents can make their own assessment.
At approximately 11 PM on August 9, 2026, I was involved in an incident at the property that resulted in Raleigh Police responding and a police report being filed for simple assault During the incident, the individual involved entered the building through the lobby entrance doors, which were unlocked at the time, door not latching. My keys were taken during the incident and were later... recovered.
The property represents that it provides 24/7 security. During the duration of this incident, I did not see or receive assistance from onsite security and ultimately contacted law enforcement.
After the incident, I was informed that the building’s security cameras were not recording at the time, so there was no footage available from them of what occurred.
I subsequently reported the issue with the lobby entrance door not properly securing. I was told that the door would be fixed within two weeks. As of August 31, more than two weeks later, the entrance door is still not functioning properly. I have dated photographs documenting its condition.
I am not claiming that the door issue, cameras, or absence of security assistance caused the August 9 incident. I am documenting what I personally experienced and what I learned afterward because controlled building access, functioning cameras, and the availability of advertised security services are important considerations for residents.
I have documentation related to the events described above, including the police report and photographs of the lobby entrance door.
