First off, forget the pool. It hasn't worked in years, they worked on it for a month this summer, but it won't be up for years. The maintenance crew is awful. Never once was anything actually fixed. The floors are uneven and ugly. Every was redone cheaply. Jeanette doesn't respond to phone calls or emails. Not worth the extravagant price.

GREAT PLACE!
I have lived at Central Park Apartments for two years (I am in the process of moving back home due to personal reasons) and it has nothing been nothing less than a wonderful living experience! I lived in the 631 building overlooking Lafayette Park, and the views were just breathtaking. Imagine waking up in the morning and drawing the curtails of your living room open, to see the morning sun lighting up the Detroit skyline in the summer, the trees ablaze with color in the fall, a holiday scene... straight out from a Christmas card in the winter and the trees in bloom during the spring. The views are unmatched!
The apartments are situated close enough to the city center (walking distance) but removed far enough to have a peaceful space to yourself or your family. I loved walking into the city for work and dinner and having the Dequindre cut as a path way to the Eastern Market or the Riverfront. The complexes are in an excellent area for students, professionals and families alike since all the city's must see places are just right out the door.
As a young professional, the apartments has all the amenities that I could have asked for and more! All the appliances (stainless) were shiny new when I moved in, the bathroom was just redone in a crisp modern style and the rest of the apartment retained its mid century modern aesthetic which was a dream. The complex boats a mini gym, ample laundry machines that were load card operated (which was such a convenience), a pool, in-complex letter boxes and a new parcel system that was so convenient and secure. If you needed further motivation to move in, your neighbours are some of the best that you will have! I will miss my two neighbours because we truly were a little Central Park family: getting together for holidays, exchanging holiday gifts and just enjoying the park from our balcony on a summer evening with a laugh and a drink or two. The maintenance team is the absolute best! They respond quickly to any work requests and make sure that you are satisfied and comfortable.
I can go on and on singing the praises of Central Park apartments but this review will be chapters long. You will not regret living at this place. Please schedule a visit and I assure you that you will feel at home once you enter the gate and are welcomed by the Central Park Family.

Great Apartment in an even better location!
I moved to Central Park Apts a couple months ago and there were some unforeseen circumstances that delayed our move-in. The staff were very kind and accommodating during this time. They did everything in their power to help us move in at the time we needed. The apartment is beautiful and VERY spacious. It is the best you can get in Detroit for the given price. The surrounding areas are safe and there is a parking lot with affordable parking fees. They newly renovated the apartments and are... continuing to make changes, and giving it a modern touch. The maintenance team works really hard to make sure all requests are completed at a reasonable time. I just love these apartments, the staff, and the area. I plan to live here as long as I can!
