I’ve lived at The Links for two years in two different units, and throughout that time management has consistently been unhelpful. The biggest issue has been with the assistant manager, Alyssa (if I have her name correct). Every interaction with her feels hostile from the start. She is unkind, dismissive, and unwilling to help residents. There is never a warm or welcoming attitude—only a quick “no” without any effort to find a solution.
I understand the policy requiring residents to be out by... the 28th, but that policy wasn’t applied fairly in our situation. When we upgraded to a larger unit in the same complex, we spent four months on the waitlist. Once we finally got the call, our move-in date was repeatedly delayed because of problems with the apartment. They even called while I was in labor telling us we either had to move immediately or wait for another unit to become available. Although our move-in date kept changing because of delays on their end, our move-out date never did. Now we’re expected to be out by the 28th even though our new lease doesn’t begin until the 1st, forcing us to either find somewhere else to stay for three days or pay an additional $150 plus a full month’s rent.
Maintenance is usually quick with repairs, but communication is lacking. Dog waste stations often sit empty, and trash bins overflow before being emptied. Instead of addressing the issue, management leaves reminders on residents’ doors to pick up after their dogs.
The pool is another example of poor communication. Maintenance frequently adds chemicals without a consistent schedule, leaving the pool closed the following day with no notice. There are no signs, emails, or updates despite having an automated notification system. When I asked why residents weren’t notified, I was told, “Because then they complain.” The following month’s newsletter instead emphasized management’s right to deny pool access rather than improving communication.
When I asked what the maintenance schedule was for the pool, the assistant manager sarcastically responded, “What are you writing a review?” That interaction perfectly reflects how resident concerns are handled.
Overall, maintenance work itself is generally completed in a timely manner, but management—particularly the assistant manager—consistently handles resident concerns with a lack of professionalism, respect, and basic customer service.

Don’t get on this waitlist
We were absolutely screwed over by this place, I recommend you do not get on the waitlist for this place. My partner and I put in an application SEVEN MONTHS out from our desired move in date and we were high on the waitlist. We continued to call and ask if our standing was still good and they told us we are likely to get it. Then two weeks before we were set to move in they told us it was unavailable. They said to us we could get on the list for the next month but instead of being at the TOP... because they failed to get us spot we would be at the BOTTOM of the list which is ridiculous considering we were on the list for 7 months. We also got told different things by different people multiple times. So no we have to scramble to get a place within the next month. Take my advice and don’t fall for their lies only apply if you are at the absolute top of the waitlist.

Don't get what you pay for
It's OK. The area is pretty and convenient to K-10. But unless you golf, your rent will be subsidizing the golf of frat bros and teens who play for free.
Rent and fees continue to go up and up, but there's not any return on that for the average person who lives here. They get you in and then raise rates on you. When you apply to live here, you're put on a list and expected to wait until 2 weeks before move-in to see if there's a place for you. Then you may not be able to move in until the 10th... of the month, but rent isn't prorated at all. When asked about this, the office has no good explanation, just blame it on corporate. I HATE feeling like I'm renting from a faceless corporation and there's no one who has any actual power. It feels like all they care about is making a dime, and they have so many units that they don't have to care at all about individual renters. The office staff are plenty nice, but this set-up renting from a faceless corporation is incredibly frustrating. If you have a problem with them, you have absolutely no recourse.
The apartments themselves could be nice, but my experience with maintenance is that they don't seem to care much. When I moved in, my apartment had been recently repainted, and there was paint splattered all over the floors and even a spider's nest painted over along the ceiling. When it snows, many of the sidewalks between buildings aren't cleared, so it's a treacherous ice skating rink.

Lived here 4 years, it's not that bad
Writing a review because the other reviews seem really aggressive, but we've lived here since it opened, and the Links is fine. It's not like over-the-top amazing, but it's a good location and a nice place to live. Sometimes maintenance requests have taken a while, but other times they've been there within the hour. Maintenance is also always incredibly nice and happy to help. The property management company is huge, which means everything is very standardized. That comes with pros (streamlined... operations, predictability) and cons (lack of flexibility), but overall we've had a good experience. Also there are a lot of cute dogs in the complex and surrounding area, which is nice.

Don't rent here!!!
Poorly maintained buildings and exterior is constantly filled with trash and dog poop. People there do not pick up after their pets, it's disgusting. We only received a portion of our deposit back - they charged us for carpet cleaning (no pets and only carpet in the bedrooms), cleaning fee for the remainder (we cleaned thoroughly before turning the keys over), and paint. I've never been charged for paint when moving out of a place!!! Absolutely absurd. The management is awful. And the lady... from the office that wanders around the pool asking everybody for their resident ID? What is that about? Nobody wants to be disturbed EVERY HOUR when they are trying to relax by the pool. She also scolded a child for going in to the main building to use the bathroom. Save yourself from this place and rent somewhere else.
