The location is great, the apartments are beautiful, and management and the maintenance team have always been kind.

Unfortunately, kindness does not solve resident safety concerns.

We are required to pay for the garage, so we believed it was a safe place to store our bikes. My bike was stolen first. A few months later, my boyfriend’s $1,000 bike was stolen.

There are no cameras covering entry/exit doors (we know this because when asked how did thieves get inside they were unable to show us... and blamed it on them being mastermind thieves), no cameras on bike racks (even after multiple bikes have been stolen), secured doors are often propped open, residents can create unlimited guest PIN codes, and homeless people loiter and have entered and spent the night in the staircase.

Management has refused to make meaningful security improvements to better protect residents or their property. We were told by the property manager word by word, “This is one of the situations where renters insurance is intended to provide protection”

Also, don’t expect your monthly costs to match the estimates provided during the application process.

Lots of hidden costs, rent is high for the area where there is not anything to do

My wife and I have lived at The Coil now for a year and highly recommend it! A clear stand out is their maintenance department and the lead, Carlos. Any time we have any issues he is quick to help us out and is a friendly employee that we are often striking up conversations with. Overall 5/5 experience and we appreciate the care we receive.

This place is very poorly maintained. The whole building smells from leaks, etc. If you ever consider a tour, just pay attention to the wall sockets in the lobby and hallways. Hlade plug ins EVErYWHERE. High pressure tactics when they want someone to sign a lease. Terrible lease terms. Way above market rate. Hidden fees. Stay away.

The cost to live here does not match the quality of construction or management. Residents smoke both marijuana and cigarettes in their units or on their balconies causing the smell to enter other units. The monthly fees increase every month. The management does not plow or salt the top floor of the parking garage. The hallways are rarely cleaned and often smell of trash or mold. The walls and ceilings are paper thin, windows leak, and appliances are bottom barrel cheap.
