I recently submitted a work order to have pine straw added around our porch area, and I am beyond impressed with how quickly the team responded. The turnaround time was exceptional, they had everything taken care of before I even had a chance to follow up.

The difference has been night and day. During rain, our porch used to be a muddy mess, but the pine straw has completely transformed the situation. It’s the kind of small improvement that makes a big difference in day-to-day living.

What I... appreciate most about this complex is that the staff genuinely listens. They don’t just log requests and let them sit…they act on them. It’s clear that management is committed to making sure residents are comfortable and happy in their homes.

This place has completely changed my mind about apartment complexes. They are efficient, trustworthy, and the grounds are immaculate. No more stepping on dog poop , weekly lawn maintenance keeps everything looking and feeling great. The staff is so friendly and it genuinely shows.

I don’t usually write reviews, but my fiancé and I moved in back in January and we constantly find ourselves saying to each other, “Wow, we are so glad we live here.” I’m 34 and this is my first apartment as an adult since 2014 and my last experience was a complete disaster. This place is the total opposite. It is clear this complex is run with care, intention, and pride.

I moved into The Local late 2025 and I have to say the staff really do care about their residents.

I moved from across the country and Abby was absolutely amazing throughout the entire leasing process. She is very knowledgeable about the area, super friendly, and incredibly helpful!

Maintenance is also very friendly, helpful, and responds incredibly fast. (I had a freezer issue, and maintenance came in within the hour to resolve it.)

Management organizes social events that really bring a... sense of community.

Plus...the location! So much is available to enjoy right across the street.

Abigail was super friendly and super helpful with the application and move in process and made it super quick and easy. Communication was fantastic and they didn’t seem disinterested in helping me unlike some other apartment complex’s in the downtown Sugar Hill area. The entirety of downtown Sugar hill is easily walkable and accessible from the Local and everything is super convenient. And literally every staff member in passing is super friendly, maintenance, leasing, etc. Very impressed with... the Local, and their reviews across all outlets reflects that.

Staff leave a first impression. That was the biggest draw for me to live here. Abi was amazing, friendly, and answered all of my questions. Office staff and maintenance are quick to respond, resolve any issues. Amenities are great. Again, staff was the main reason I renewed.

Absolutely amazing staff, amazing maintenance crew. The office staff is awesome & friendly. Abby is absolute rockstar. I highly recommend going to her. I have lived here for 2 years & I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.
