Story apartments are well managed and the staff is so helpful. The property is beautiful and offers great amenities as well as special events. I am enjoying my new chapter here at Story Apartments.

HORRIBLE management will charge you for unreasonable things when you move out even if it's their own problem! As one of the first tenants to move out of this complex, my fiancé was shocked to see that Story at Mundy Mill was trying to charge him for $1.5k in "damages" for a full carpet and fridge replacement.

We have a registered emotional support cat (disclosed in the lease) which we did not allow into the bedroom, the only carpeted area in the unit. Within hours of my fiancé moving out,... management emailed claiming the entire carpet was damaged with cat urine... which is impossible. When I called their vendor (listed in the tech notes) they noted that it was entirely based on odor and not stains (since there were no visible stains on the carpet). I visited the unit a week later on my fiancé's behalf and had two other tenants smell the unit... NO cat odor smell. I brought this to the manager's attention who said that she did "not care what other tenants think" despite these being the only non-involved, third party to have input on the non-existent odor.

My fiancé was also charged for a slash in the freezer. When I mentioned that this damage was not there when he left, the maintenance man admitted to peeling up a small scratch he found (normal wear and tear) which then exposed the insulation in a way that he could not repair. When I asked if the fridge was under warranty he said yes, but also noted that they were not willing to bring out an actual fridge expert to inspect the unit and that we would have to pay.

After telling others about our experience, management requested that my fiancé email to figure out a resolution. When he did, he was met with a response that said they had no clue why he was asked to email as all charges were "accurate."


As someone with experience in Commercial Property Management, it is my opinion that this Landlord is completely unethical and does not care at all about their tenants. STAY AWAY! Read More

The location is perfect for me near everything but far away from the noise of it all. The events are very nice that have happened. Staff is great. Definitely happy I moved here.
