Extremely frustrating experience

I have been extremely disappointed with my experience at IBEX at Uptown. This has gone far beyond a single maintenance issue.

My apartment’s air conditioning has been an ongoing problem for approximately a month. Despite submitting maintenance requests and repeatedly communicating with management, the issue remains unresolved. My apartment has reached approximately 87–88°F indoors. Management provided a portable AC unit, but it has not adequately cooled the... apartment or fixed the underlying problem.

What makes this even more concerning is that management is aware that I have a 5-month-old child living in the apartment. Having my home reach these temperatures for an extended period while management knows there is an infant living here has been extremely frustrating.

Unfortunately, the AC isn’t the only issue. I have also dealt with roaches and multiple other maintenance problems that have remained unresolved for 30 days or more. At this point, the pattern is what concerns me most: submit a maintenance request, communicate the problem, wait weeks, and still not have the issue properly resolved.

I understand that maintenance issues can happen in any apartment community. What I don’t understand is why serious and ongoing problems are allowed to remain unresolved for weeks at a time.

I have tried to be patient and give management an opportunity to address these issues, but 30+ days is far too long to leave multiple problems unresolved, especially when one of those problems involves the apartment’s cooling system during Georgia’s summer heat.

If you’re considering moving into IBEX at Uptown, I would strongly recommend asking detailed questions about maintenance response times, HVAC repairs, pest control, and how unresolved work orders are handled before signing a lease.

I was interested in the place because of the location! I went to view the apartment and didn’t have a great experience on the viewing. I can only imagine being a resident. The hallways stink. The guest bathrooms in the lobby are dirty and disgusting. The staff seems friendly but unworried about these issues. When I finally viewed the apartment, things weren’t in place. The appliances were disconnected. And did I mention the hallway stinks really bad. I think that the place has so much potential... and the rates aren’t that bad. This apartment complex has so much potential but its wasted due to the management. The building is constantly smelling of garbage. The hallway carpets are filthy. There's always trash in the elevators on the weekends because there is no housekeeping and people have no home training! There's dog poop in the hallways. It's just not a clean place to live so if that's important to you DO NOT LIVE HERE.

This place is dirty. Management is horrible. Maintenance is mediocre. Trust me stay away!

Apartment staff is so rude, they behave as if they are kind of emperors to some kingdom. They lack basic manners and don't know how to respect people. They are employed to provide assistance to residents but they don't do. I don't know why they are even getting paid. Stay away from this apartment if you think you'll have complaints/maintenance requests, they don't just help you.
