This is a warning for others considering moving here that would like a nice, livable, clean, functional, quality environment.
I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the deteriorating condition and lack of maintenance at the property. While Hanover Buckhead Village is marketed as an upscale residence, the current level of service and cleanliness does not reflect the premium rates residents pay.
Specifically, I would like to address the following issues:
- Sanitation and Odors:... There is a persistent, unpleasant odor in the elevators and hallways, often described as smelling like mildew, wet dogs (dog urine.) This smell extends to the mail center as well. While the building used to be cleaned and deodorized regularly, these efforts seem to have ceased over the last six months. - Maintenance: Cleaning now appears to be reactive—occurring primarily when prospective renters are scheduled for tours—rather than a consistent standard for current residents. - Security and Access: Key fobs frequently fail to work when attempting to enter the building from the parking area on certain floors.
As residents, we expect a well-maintained living environment that aligns with an upscale standard. I hope to see these issues addressed promptly with a return to regular cleaning schedules and functional access points.

I understand how frustrating it must be to... encounter persistent odors in the elevators, hallways, and mail center, especially when you're expecting a premium living experience that aligns with the rates you pay. Your description of mildew and pet-related smells is concerning, and I regret that our efforts to maintain a pleasant environment seem to have diminished over the past six months. I also acknowledge your observation that cleaning appears to be more reactive than proactive, and I am looking into how we can improve our consistent standards for all residents.
Furthermore, I am very concerned to hear about the recurring issues with key fobs not working when entering from the parking area. This is certainly not the seamless access we want for our residents.

Excellent Resident Experience highlighted by Maintenance
The maintenance crew at Hanover Buckhead Village would not be out of place were they to be found keeping the grounds pristine of the Taj Mahal. I am a resident of 4 years and my experience living here has been highlighted by this excellent maintenance team.
Maintenance is highly responsive and executes on a level I have not seen before. Particularly want to thank a young man by the name of Gustavo who goes above and beyond to ensure my experience is comparable to that of a saudi prince. Thank... you Gustavo, and thank you Mohammed. Unreasonable property manager. Be cautious with move-out charges!
Despite multiple written disputes and repeated requests for documentation and specific reasoning regarding move-out charges, management failed to respond or provide any substantiation beyond "doesn't meet Hanover's standards." While the charges remained disputed, the account was sent to collections more than half a year later. The lack of communication and escalation of unresolved charges is making this a frustrating and stressful experience. I would strongly encourage future tenants to document... everything carefully or avoid this property altogether. And yes, most 5-star reviews are from tours, not actual residents. Read carefully!
