The lack of communication with all of the balcony reconstruction, lack of empathy, and lack of the consideration for the residents is baffling.

Its a great place to live with some issues. Garbage wasnt picked up AGAIN even though we pay for the service and why arent the residents given a partial refund? We pay for a service that doesnt happen based on the signed contract. If residents dont pay rent they are evicted. If the building doesnt follow through with their obligations they dont even acknowledge us. We get an email saying the problem was resolved. I go look in the hallway and theres garbage everywhere and it stinks. Would it... kill the Westerly to do right by its tenants? Stop charging people for a service they dont get as promised. Its unacceptable. Other than that its a great community. The maintenance staff are super cool. The neighbors are nice. The grounds are cleans and cared for. The pool is very nice. Great location. Good staff. Communication has improved with new staff but there is room for improvement. Cleaning crew is excellent. Pets are allowed but few owners allow their dog to poop wherever and not pick it up. Management sends out letters but it still continues.

I have been a resident for 4 yrs and up until the last month, I have been satisfied here. However, recent events have changed my response. First and foremost, today I was “served” an unwarranted legal notice about having an alleged unauthorized pet. I have no such thing. I have never had a pet anywhere near my unit. Making this even more absurd is the fact that during the last thirty days, including today, I have had numerous apartment personnel in the unit (sometimes without any one else... home) tending to numerous emergency repairs to plumbing fixtures in both bathrooms and maintenance work orders on the fire alarms in all of the rooms. Certainly they can testify to the fact there are no “pets” in the unit. They did no fact checking on this allegation and just tossed a “you are on notice” at us and then hurriedly walked away. Management needs to let tenants know the trash rules. Trash out all day and night, even on non trash pickup days. Smells the hallway bad. Send out the trash rules, with threat of fines, like you fined me a couple years ago. This would be a much better message to send out on lively, than “what’s your favorite flower” or desert, or hobby, or the ones that are sent out now.
