I lived at this complex for years, started out fine and ended in a nightmare. If you want your money handled correctly, I'd look elsewhere. Only after receiving MULTIPLE emails riddled with false information, mistakes and unprofessional attitudes, we still get to wait weeks to settle our deposit. After years of being a model tenant I would expect to be treated with respect at the very least. Renters beware.

The a/c runs constantly and barely cools the “master” bedroom. The kitchen is so small you can reach the refrigerator, while stirring something on the stove and put something in the sink.

The essence of musty/moldy is your first impression when you enter your apartment. The nearly 20 year old appliances are the next indication of the vintage of your... apartment. Definitely not energy efficient.

To access the 24 hour gym you need to pay an additional $40 for a key fob. The entry gates are very tricky (I have yet to get in using the barcode pass, I have had to “tailgate”).

The ceiling in the storage area has big holes cut out, maybe water damage? I have turned it in to be repaired.

Excellent location with easy access to downtown Pensacola and Pace, convenient distance to good churches, stores, and the interstate. Management is helpful, maintenance (though rarely needed) is prompt, amenities are varied and grounds are well-kept. I definitely recommend this property.

Horrible service. Was misinformed by Karen on multiple issues. Signed a 9 month contract and now they want us to pay because we didn’t give 60 days notice when contract was up even though we asked Karen way before that 60 days if we needed to do anything before we moved out. Of course once again she misinformed us. We had to sign multiple contracts because she keep messing up so we were unaware of that clause. All they can say is we are sorry you were misinformed!! Our past year living at Governor's Gate has been a pleasure. It's a peaceful community with great amenities. The option to have plank flooring was an extra bonus for us since we have small pets. Love that it's pet friendly here. Also, our leasing agent, Karen Dodd, has always been there to assist my husband and I with any questions or needs we may have had. We will surely miss her and GG.
