My fiancé and I have been living at summer house apartments for 2 years and it has been amazing. I want to specifically highlight the maintenance team. They respond quickly, they are efficient in fixing things and they have made any minor issues go so much more smoothly. Highly recommend :)

I recently moved into Summerhouse, and one of the things that has made me feel so comfortable and welcomed here has honestly been the maintenance team.

The day I picked up my keys, Melo, the head of maintenance was there, introduced himself and immediately stopped to give my puppy all the attention (Melo has since become my pups favorite person here)

Once I had moved my items in later that day, I stopped by the leasing office with a few general questions, and Melo asked if I had noticed... anything so they could take care of it right away. The only thing I had noticed was what looked like an older, non active bee/wasp nest on the outside of my balcony. No less than 20 minutes later, Melo was there to confirm it wasn’t active, spray it as a precaution and give me peace of mind. That kind of responsiveness really stood out to me and that was just day 1.

Since then, any question I’ve had or help with the apartment such as switching out a shower head with a filter or making sure my door is as tightly sealed as possible so bugs don’t try to get in, Melo without hesitation has taken care of.

(I’m not a Floridian so the harsh water, bugs and lizards have been an adjustment to say the least!)

A great leasing team is important, but having a maintenance team that is present, visible, approachable, proactive, and genuinely kind makes a huge difference in how a place feels like home. I don’t feel like you have to jump through hoops or wonder when someone will get around to something if anything is ever needed.

In addition to Melo, the rest of the service team notices things, respond quickly, and genuinely cares.

Alfredo once saw me outside taking out the trash and offered to take it from me while he was passing by, always says hi to the pup and will communicate through a translator with me while I try to learn Spanish.

There’s also a younger woman I frequently see helping keep the community areas in order or working with Melo & Alfredo. She always has a smile on her face and waves hello.

We moved in June after leaving a house for 14 years. Had questions regarding rent and utilities payments, posting on the Loft website, and general apartment living. Angel has been my go to person for all my needs. He is conscientious and very approachable. Friendly personality and computer savvy. A great addition to any management team.

We moved to Summerhouse a couple of months ago and took advantage of their great 2 months free lease option. We have a fabulous unit on the 4th floor thats like living in a luxury hotel with easy access by elevator! Having lived in apartment housing for the last several years Summerhouse in comparison is by far the best. One feature they offer that is very different from alot of other apartments is their unique layouts. They have open concept living with private suites with hugebwalk-in closets... . Throughout is updated granite and stainless steel appliances ...that work !!! And the bathrooms as well are very updated with granite and luxury soaking tubs and glass shower enclosures ...and lots of shelving and cabinet storage. Acouple of their additional unique features that we really love is the coffee bar at the Clubhouse and the Sundry shop for snacks and emergency items. It's very convenient. Another great feature they offer is the concierge trash pickup...from right outside your entry door! I can't tell you how much we enjoy that. Not having to lug your trash down to a stinky trash compactor! And the maintenance of the buildings are fantastic. They have someone that actually sweeps and mops the floors on every level weekly, and it gives the vibe of a hotel. The staff has also been really wonderful to us and they take care of all your questions and needs. Karen and Angel arevthevbest...they helped take care of all of our move-in needs and is was effortless! We have enjoyed going to the pool and meeting other residents as well. I have lived at Summerhouse for a year and a half now and all around it is a great place to live.

Some of the highlights include:

- Its location, close to literally everything and only about a 20 min drive to the nearest beach.

- The staff is wonderful, have worked a lot with Angel specifically, and they are always helpful and responsive.

- The amenities are really nice, clean gym, pool, shared spaces, etc the property is overall very well maintained and cared for.

- The apartments... themselves are really nice, when I moved it the unit had new carpet, was very thoroughly cleaned, no cleaning needed on my end, etc.

- The staff is also always cleaning dryer vents, checking fire detectors, etc. so I feel very safe in the units themselves that everything is up to date and working.

- There are lots of monthly activities that are included in living here like a free photoshoot this month, live music, they give out full pies before Thanksgiving, pet of the month contests, etc. Just a little fun added bonus if you wanted to participate.

A few (minor) cons:

- The maintenance staff are nice and helpful but not the quickest I have ever dealt with. Expect about a week wait time for someone to come fix whatever is happening at that time.

- The pest control doesn't work. Not that there is lots of pests but we had a flea issue at one point and after treatment on the apartment nothing was affected, all fleas were still there. Read More
