I wish you could give something 0 stars, as this doesn't even deserve 1 star. Where to begin...
First of all, in my experience, this place is anything but luxury mainly due to the terrible management company that owns and operates the building. They make everything a bad experience. And the "amenities" are a joke. The gym is missing essential equipment. There's odd single dumbbells that don't have a matching one.
The pool will always be dirty and usually has insects and critters in it. And if... you have any issue at all, expect to wait. There are hookers that openly work in the building. Car break ins are regular, I counted 5 in a single month. The neighborhood has a hidden homeless community that are on drugs and they will break your windows and look for anything of value. The trash room is infested. Everyone knows the gate codes since so many people do deliveries that strange people roam around the building who don't live there.
The fire alarms will be regular and frequent. You have to wait 1-2 hours for the fire dept to come and clear it. Your ears will pulse and echo all night. It gets painful. They get called so often they are particularly slow.
And forget about getting your deposit back! Have counted numerous Tenants that I stayed in touched with after they left that had to chase them in court to get back a couple thousand dollars. And all for no reason. So kiss that goodbye if you make the really bad decision of making this building your home. The management is so used to court proceedings, they won't give you their names if you contact them about deposit returns. "Check is in the mail" for months..

RUN!!!
Terrible owner. Terrible management. Takes MONTHS to get maintenance requests completed. They have lights out every where. The fire pit doesnt work. The hot tub stops working a lot.
Completely neglected apartment building.
Not worth living here at all.

Great Apartment
Having lived in both a small 12 unit building and a larger building (both of which were very noisy) I can say that this building is a great building. The building is quiet (I may occasionally hear a dog bark or my neighbors above me if they have heels on). In addition the sound from outside is minimal (some car noise from the neighboring apartment's parking area and planes overhead). The small pool area and courtyard seating areas on the 1st floor are very nice places to hang out but are still... quiet enough to relax. The area around the building is very walkable with a Gelson's and several places to eat within a 5 minute walk. Walking to Ventura & Laurel Canyon is about 25 minutes but very easy to walk if you have the time. David the building manager is very helpful and responsive to questions. Only downside for me is the washer/dryer in the units are not full sized.
