Poor communication, multiple amenities are already broken like to cold plunge and hot tub. The fire pits on the roof rarely work because people push the emergency stop button because it lacks a guard.

????? This Isn’t Just an Apartment Building. It’s the First One That Feels Like Home.

I’ve lived in several luxury buildings throughout downtown San Diego—Bayside, Simone, Luma. They all had the expected features: sleek lobbies, rooftop views, and polished brochures.

But none of them felt like this.

When I toured The Lindley, I was already a little burned out from the search. The usual frustrations—mixed reviews, model units that didn’t match real ones, staff that seemed transactional.

Then I met Tony Garcia, a leasing agent here. That conversation changed the course of my...
entire move.

Tony didn’t just walk me through units—he helped me visualize how each space would support my actual lifestyle.

After moving in, I started noticing all the little things that make The Lindley feel different:

It’s immaculately clean, every day. The housekeeping team, a crew of kind, hardworking women, are constantly refreshing the space. You can feel the pride in their work—it’s subtle, but powerful.

Every morning, the Philz espresso machine in the resident lounge is full and ready to go. I didn’t think much of it at first, but now it’s part of my routine. I grab a latte, sit in the sunlit lounge, and ease into my day. There’s care behind the scenes that most buildings just don’t have.

And then there’s the concierge staff. You know how most front desks are just there to check boxes? Not here.

Whether it’s Triana remembering your name with a smile, or greeting residents like family, or the weekend team that somehow manages to make everyone feel seen—the people who run this building care. That makes a difference. You’re not just a lease number here.

Even the leasing staff beyond Tony make an impact. Jenn, who’s constantly giving tours, always makes time to say hello or help out—even when she’s mid-tour. That kind of openness matters more than people realize. Residents feel supported, not just processed.

My Routine (and My Mindset) Has Changed

Morning starts with Philz from the lounge

I work out in the gym (which honestly outperforms most paid gyms)

Evenings are for the rooftop—sunset over the bay, peaceful and quiet

Some days, I’ll join a rooftop event or just talk with neighbors

It’s not that the building is perfect—it’s that it’s alive. And it’s curated by people who are proud of it.

It’s clean. It’s calm. The neighbors are friendly but respectful. And every part of it is made easier because of the team that holds it together.

Dam

Reaching the leasing office is nearly impossible. Emails and calls go unanswered for days, sometimes weeks. They’re quick to charge late fees but not so quick to fix problems

Biggest mistake ever

A group of us moved into Instrata thinking it would be perfect. We were wrong. It’s basically luxury themed, but none of the amenities actually work. Gym? Trash. Pool and hot tub? Been closed for at least five months. The block outside feels sketchy at night—there’s tents lining the street.

The Lindley is an incredible property with beautiful amenities. We were one of the earliest tenants. Sure, with a new building, there is always "punch list" issues. The staff has been attentive to whatever has arisen. This is the 3rd property we have been in since moving to San Diego. The Lindley has far exceeded those other experiences.
