Very poor management
After two years of my daughter living at Stateside, I can honestly say that this was maybe the worst leasing experience I have seen in my 50 years or so of renting. The building is generally nice as well as the location. However, the management company was very unresponsive and rarely seen, ownership wouldn't even reply to our inquiries and complaints, they left the single building elevator broken for four months and didn't do anything until we complained to the City of San Diego, noise problems... continued in the loft with little to no action, they assigned whoever they wanted as roommates without considering whether everyone in the suite was compatible, and the lease they expect you to sign is just a mess (coming from someone with extensive experience in real estate management). Everyone of course can make their own judgment and decision, but for us the ultimate question is whether, knowing what we know now, would we lease again at this property. And the answer is "Heck no!".
