I have lived here for nearly four years and the entire time has been an excellent experience. The building is beautiful and the cleanest I've seen anywhere downtown. It is also very safe and has a pleasant and quiet ambience. Neighbours are considerate and friendly and this is because the staff do such a brilliant job at ensuring that Idea 1 is not simply just an apartment complex but also a community that we can call home. Thanks always to the wonderful Idea 1 staff for making this community... such a wonderful place to live.

Efficient Maintenance, But Communication Lacking
The maintenance team at IDEA1 completes work orders in a timely manner. However, communication needs improvement, as staff members are not always responsive when greeted and lack professionalism. The maintenance manager is relatively new, which may contribute to the current communication gaps.

Avoid Some Units
If you're choosing to live downtown, there are always going to be noises and community around the area that are different from a neighborhood. Avoid staying in certain units here though. Specifically the ones that have plumbing pipes on the ceiling. Due to the "industrial design" of the property, everything is open ceiling and plumbing pipes line a lot of the ceilings of the units. Every time someone flushes a toilet, takes a shower, it rains, or scheduled draining, you hear water through them.... It's not quiet either; it is a very distracting and annoying sound when trying to enjoy living or sleeping.
