My over all experience with the Oak Village apartment complex has been an fairly pleasant one thus far.
I am able to have a peace of mind move about freely and tenants generally stay to themselves. However; I'm able to live within my space to do what I need to do without disturbance and this is what counts to me.
Staff are pleasant prompt and professional always busy careing for the issues when you see them. My experience is a 5 out of 5.

No community involvement, everyone is a stranger and possible threat! We used to have community parties and other activities! We could access the computer room at our leisure, the community room could be requested as needed! The office was open to walkin conversations with staff! It felt like a family environment then, Not anymore!

When i first moved here it was the pits. Why because this place has had many managers within my 11 years of living here. They come and go and do not stay long. This place needs to get it together amongst other things.
Thank you very much.

Oak Village used to be a beautiful place to live. But since changing to the newer ownership, the conditions of the common areas as well as the individual apartments has deteriorated terribly. They went down from two full time maintenance people to just one, and also changed the landscapers, so all that used to be kept in good and clean condition is now dirty and rundown. It used to be that we could get our apartments painted and carpet and windows replaced when needed, but no longer since the... change in ownership. I know of so many residents who have already or are planning to move out because they are fed up with how everything has changed, from feeling like being respected and cared for by ownership, to feeling deprived of what used to be a lovely place to live to now being a place where ownership is not concerned about its residents and the quality of their housing. Also, the elevator is broken too often and for those of us who are elderly and have health or physical conditions, it can create isolation or harm.
