Betrayal and Injustice: A Heartbreaking Tale of Greed, Corruption, and the Ruthless Attempted Eviction of a Devoted Mother and Son after Decades
I was a long-term resident of this community for many years and feel it's important to share my experience for the benefit of prospective tenants.
Although my household consistently paid rent on time and maintained a respectful relationship with neighbors, we encountered serious challenges with the management team. Long-term residents seemed to be pressured to move out, often followed by significantly increased rents for new tenants.
There were ongoing concerns about how maintenance and... management interacted with residents. On several occasions, we experienced unannounced entries, uncomfortable interactions, and a lack of responsiveness to formal complaints. Despite providing documentation, management did not address the behavior appropriately.
Maintenance requests were inconsistently handled. A clear example was when structural damage we reported was ignored for months, while similar repairs were promptly completed elsewhere on the property. The advertised amenities, such as the fitness room and in-unit washer/dryer, were outdated and poorly maintained.
When we raised questions about a rent increase that appeared to exceed the legal cap under California law, we were met with eviction threats and returned rent payments. This created an unnecessarily stressful and hostile environment, especially for elderly residents in our household.
Eventually, we had no choice but to leave after settling a legal dispute that we could no longer afford to fight. We later learned that we likely had a strong case, but unfortunately, the system can favor those with more resources.
We’ve since heard that some of the staff involved may no longer be employed at the property. For the sake of future residents, we hope this signals a positive shift in how the community is managed. Please do your research and ask questions before moving in.

Great Townhouse in Convenient Location
I've been living in a 2-bedroom townhouse at Vineyard Court for 6 months and it's been a very pleasant experience. I would highly recommend it. I just moved out because I bought a house. Otherwise I'd still be there.
The townhouse was freshly painted with clean carpets and new or newer appliances. We had a one-car garage and one parking space. Never had a problem with parking. Neighbors are quiet and polite.
We have a dog. There are walking/biking paths right next to the complex and a dog park... that's walking distance.
A Nob Hill is across the street. One block away is Safeway, pizza, movie theaters, and a bowling alley. Basically everything you need is walking distance. The neighborhood and the complex are very safe.
For the price, it's the best rental option in Morgan Hill.
