We had an amazing experience with Bibi, the leasing office manager at The Hanover in Burlingame.

About a week before our tour, I called the office and spoke with her. She was extremely informative over the phone, answered all of my questions in detail, and made me feel confident about scheduling a visit.

When the day came for our appointment, I specifically requested Bibi—and I’m so glad I did. She greeted us with a warm smile and a genuinely positive attitude. Throughout the entire tour, she... patiently answered every question we had and took the time to explain everything clearly. Because of her, we are most likely planning to move into one of the units. I truly appreciate her help and hospitality.

I’ve been living at Hanover, and unfortunately my experience has been disappointing. Many of the amenities look good on paper, but in reality they’re not very useful. The pool is never heated, so no one actually uses it. The clubhouse and amenity areas also aren’t workable ,the TVs are always loud, making it impossible to work from home in those spaces. Even the trash room gets filled so fast, it becomes inconvenient and feels poorly maintained.

The building has a lot of dead zones with the... internet, which becomes frustrating whether you’re working or just trying to stream. The quality of the unit itself could also be better—paint chips off easily, making the apartment look worn much sooner than it should.

There’s also no real effort to build a sense of community. There are no resident events or activities to bring neighbors together, and even the staff rarely say hello or show friendliness to the people who live here. On top of that, when issues come up in the apartment, the turnaround time to get things resolved is slow and not treated with urgency.
