Okay ngl I have no idea what the previous rating is about because the atrium is rlly not loud? At least from our side of the apartment on the first floor. But it's a decent place. The kitchen is mad old and the stove still uses a pilot light, and the freezer has issues but the maintenance is super fast and friendly. Thin walls as well and no air conditioning. But the place as a whole has a lot of charm, and the built in storage is quite nice. It's not the best, but the leasing folks are always... very communicative and respond so fast, and they're always extremely kind and friendly. Literally no complaints about the folks running it, we love u Jacie!
So for a one bedroom, it's not bad, especially for the low price. And the area is great, super easy to walk over to metro market and the cafes.

Do Not Move in Here
I didn't have many issues with the management company. However, the business next to the apartment building 'The Atrium' moved in about 2 years ago and it is horrible living in that apartment building because of that business. It's an event space so there is always loud music, tons on people around and talking and nowhere to park now because of that business. If that business would move out then the apartment building wouldn't be so bad. Nothing is being done about the constant noise next door... by the apartment company or the village of shorewood. Look somewhere else!
