This has been my favorite home as a UW student. The maintenance and office staff are incredibly responsive and truly go above and beyond for anything I’ve ever needed. Living by the lake has been one of the best parts—it’s beautiful year-round and so relaxing, especially during stressful exam weeks. It really feels like the perfect balance of downtown living and being surrounded by nature.
The location is unbeatable: a short walk to campus, State Street, and the farmers market on the square. I... also love the gym that overlooks the lake—it’s never crowded when I go and being open 24/7 makes it easy to fit workouts into a busy (and late) student schedule. On top of all that, the rent is very reasonable, especially compared to what many places near campus are charging. I couldn’t recommend living here more.

Probably the slowest maintence in Madison area. I submitted a request at the start of the month, and they only came after a month has past while I have to endure the problem for the entire month. Fortunately it was a small issue with the light, but you can really see how inefficient they are even for a small problem. I can't imgaine if something happened to the heat or the pipe during the winter. They were pretty good at responding a couple year ago, but things seriously have changed.

I’ve lived in Madison for many years and have dealt with most landlords on the Isthmus. The entire team at Mendota Lakeshore are just phenomenal. You will not find a better group of people to rent from. Once you add the views and lake access, you start to understand what a rare gem the entire experience is.
