After 3 years in the building the hospitality, communication and cleanliness has deteriorated noticeably. Public areas are not kept up, staff changes every few weeks ( when they are actually here to notice the change) emails are not answered, and thestaff that is here is quick to remind you that they are doing you a favor by being here. Not the worst place in town, certainly no longer close to the best.

I lived at Belle Square Apartments for just over five years. The first four years were absolutely wonderful, and I would have highly recommended the property. Unfortunately, after the ownership change, I noticed a significant decline in cleanliness, communication, and overall resident experience, while costs continued to increase.

The shared resident office space became a dumping ground for packages, while the computers and printers that residents once had access to were removed. Packages... accumulated throughout the office, entryway, and mail room, making it difficult to locate deliveries among the building’s 93 units.

Higher-quality furniture in the shared areas was replaced with lower-quality alternatives, and the overall appearance of the building suffered.

Daily cleaning by familiar, friendly staff was replaced with infrequent cleanings that often left common areas in poor condition.

The club room, which residents pay for through a $150+ monthly amenity fee, was also used as a staff break room, according to management.

Annual exterior window cleaning was repeatedly rescheduled before ultimately being canceled altogether.

There were also multiple incorrect charges that appeared on my monthly rent statements and required me to contact management to have them corrected. Unfortunately, reaching the management team was often difficult.

It’s disappointing because this property truly was one of the best places I had ever lived. Over the last year we have seen service cut out… like package delivery. Maintenance and cleanliness decline. On-site management absent or just vacant and inattentive. All at the same time rents continuing to move up. This was the number one place to be only a year ago with waits to get in here. Now people are moving out constantly. What a sad change in only a years time with new ownership.

It is such an amazing building! I love my unit and the management staff is so helpful. Nothing beats being able to walk everywhere downtown.
