Moldy, no parking, gate is always broken, dog poo everywhere (sidewalks and grass), rate goes up year-after-year but the quality just keeps going down. They just made everyone in the complex take down their patio lights and are only allowed two outdoor plants. Where do they get that number?

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience has not met expectations, and we appreciate you taking the time to voice your concerns.
We take issues such as cleanliness, maintenance of common areas, parking, and gate... functionality seriously, and your comments have been shared with our team for review and follow-up. Community upkeep—including pet waste removal and addressing maintenance concerns—is an ongoing priority, and we are continuing to work with our vendors and staff to make improvements.
Regarding patio guidelines, these are outlined in the lease agreement and community policies and are in place to support safety, uniformity, and accessibility throughout the property. While we understand these rules may feel restrictive, they are applied consistently across the community.
We value resident feedback and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns in more detail and work toward a resolution. Please feel free to contact the management office directly so we can better assist you.

Shady Business Practices!!!
Extremely shady business practices that make it very clear that the complex doesn't care about its residents. They are more than happy to call or put notes on the doors for minor things, but if there is a chance they can sneakily charge you fees they fall back on "email practices", whether you received the email or not. They spy on apartments to report minor infractions and police the patios. The staff completely turns over every 6 months (there have been 4 "managers" since I've lived here) so... chances are, I will be here longer than the current staff, so at least that's an upside. The pool is constantly closed in the summer, and the "fitness center" is a filthy closet that is not cleaned or maintained. For a "gated community" the gate is open most of the time, and the key fob system is down more than it is working. Please look for apartments elsewhere!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience has not met your expectations, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Our goal is always to communicate clearly and... fairly with residents. Notices may be delivered through different methods depending on the situation, including door notices, phone calls, and email, and we understand that inconsistencies can be frustrating. Your feedback highlights the importance of ensuring our communication is both received and understood, and we will continue working to improve in this area. Regarding community standards, routine inspections—including patio compliance—are intended to ensure safety and lease adherence for all residents, not to single anyone out. That said, we understand how this can feel intrusive, and we appreciate your perspective. We acknowledge that staffing changes can be disruptive, and we recognize the importance of continuity and trust. Our team is actively focused on creating a more stable on-site presence moving forward. We also apologize for the inconvenience caused by pool closures, fitness center conditions, and gate or key fob issues. These amenities are important to our residents, and we are continually working with vendors and maintenance teams to improve reliability, cleanliness, and access. We truly value resident feedback and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns directly and work toward solutions. Please feel free to contact the leasing office so we can better understand your experience and see how we can improve it. Thank you again for your feedback.

Old and musky
Its just heavily outdated and dirty. The carpet is old and stained, the appliances are older than half the residents, and the maintenance- bless their hearts- don't speak English so it's hard to completely get a job fixed here (which happens every couple months) Would not recommend. Just cheap and old- and the surrounding residents will portray that. Lots of wild loud kids with no supervision & a leasing office that is never IN the office.

Love
I live here on sight and I love living here. I love how helpful the maintenance team is. I love the people in the office. Everyone is so great. I have lived at one other apartment complex and the service at Sterling Heights is beyond imaginable. Thank you Sterling Heights.

Well maintained but not worth it.
We moved into this apartment complex to gain an extra bedroom for our newborn daughter. It is nice enough with maintenance needs and outdoor repairs and cleaning happing in a timely manner. However: The building was clearly constructed with cost cutting in mind. Random walls are paper thin while others could block sound from a 747. The ceilings/floors are uniformly thin. We could hear every step and activity of our upstairs neighbors. The office staff are all about corporate profits and don't... care a thing for tennents. When they finally offered to move us into a different unit after months of noise complaints about pandemic parties, it was only with a $700 'transfer fee'. We dealt primarily with one gentleman from the office who has an exceedingly fake sounding customer service voice which we found incredibly frustrating when coupled with the companies inaction. To top it off they stole our security deposit, charging us to clean an already 3D stained carpet and for a general cleaning despite a week and 4 different people cleaning the entire apartment.
If you have money to set on fire and don't care about noise both inside or outside the building then this is the place for you.

While we strive to always be polite, timely and transparent, I apologize for what sounds like a less than ideal residency. Without our residents, we could not be in business, so we know how important it is to provide excellent customer service. ... There may have been some opportunities for us to better communicate with you, so that your perception of us would reflect our values. Thank you for your feedback, as we will take it as an opportunity to improve; we wish you well.
