3 Years Here — Bike Stolen, Deposit Withheld, Management Unresponsive
Management:
The management for this building has been rotating yearly for the past few years. They manage multiple buildings, so they might not be in the office during regular hours. They respond to official communications via the property management portal, but occasionally ignore emails and drop any face-to-face communication if you come into the office to resolve an issue.
Building:
The elevator sometimes opens very slowly (~15s to open, another 15s to close). It's been like that for years... and hasn't been fixed. There is only 1 elevator so whenever people move in or out and reserve the only elevator, you must take the stairs.
Location:
About 12 minutes from the light rail is great and right next to a grocery store. There are also nice restaurants and cafes nearby. On the flip side, the building also borders a parklet, but the parklet usually has unhoused individuals sleeping and occasionally arguing loudly at night. I woke up about once every month from the fighting there, even on the top floor. The parklet gets cleared out by police occasionally, but it's ineffective.
Bike storage:
Before I came here, I read one review that mentioned a stolen bike. As I write a review after just leaving the apartment, I see there are more today. To add to those reviews, my chain-locked bike was also stolen from the bike room here. Management was unhelpful.
Apartment Tours: If you are looking to move out, be aware that management will schedule prospective tenant tours of your unit while you still live there. After giving notice, expect recurring access to your apartment.
Fees:
Upon exiting, I was charged for routine carpet cleaning along with other charges for painting. Speaking with other folks that recently moved out showed a similar fee -- both of our entire security deposit is wiped out by routine painting and cleaning.

Still My Home - 7+ Years Later
I've lived here for almost a decade, so let me be the first to tell you how much I love this building. The street is serene, the location is highly convenient, the staff has changed over the years, but one of my favorite people is Yuka (she was the property manager a few years ago). She was tremendous at her job and was so lovely to all the residents. She's since been promoted in the company but I still reach out to her from time to time because she is so amazing at what she does and is very... kind. The new property manager, Thad, is lovely too. He hasn't been here *too* long, but he's delightful to work with, he's really efficient, he communicates quickly/clearly and even infuses light humor to make dealing with him super-pleasant. It's a quiet mid-sized building perfect for residents who like to keep to themselves. There's literally no drama on-site and living here has been really easy. I highly recommend anyone that's interested in living on the quieter part of Capitol Hill to check it out. It's close enough to the madness but tucked away a bit too for privacy. I've slept very well here all these years :)

Great place to live!
The Perch has everything I was looking for in an apartment and the location can’t be beat. The manager, Thad, keeps everything running like clockwork. Whenever help is needed he is there to lend a helping hand. I couldn’t be happier.

Feels like home to me
This was the first apartment I've ever had so I wasn't quite sure what to expect but after living only a week here at Stream Belmont, I can tell it's everything I'll ever want and need! First off I have the sweetest onsite management! Rosetta helped make me make my move and she was the most helpful and kindest person I had talked to while searching for a place. I live in a studio apartment and it comes with a spacious balcony which is nice when you don't feel like going up to the rooftop that... has the most beautiful view of the city and the mountains (which is never). The layout is well-thought-out with nice closet space and a big bathroom. Plenty of storage. Huge windows that bring in so much light and that makes my studio feel way bigger than it is! A huge bonus is this building is LEED®-H Certified which results in sustainable living not only for the residents but community as well.
The location is definitely unbeatable. With a walk score of 96! I've never had to use a bike or car. I live in Capitol Hill which is known for having a good time and I slept like a baby this weekend. It's even pet friendly! :) I feel safe in my home and I would recommend you experience this too!
