Decent long-term living, disappointing move-out experience

I lived at this property for about three years. Overall, the experience wasn’t terrible, but there are several recurring issues future renters should be aware of.

The building is under-equipped for its size. Elevators are frequently a bottleneck, parking assignments are poorly managed, and car break-ins have been an ongoing issue. The seventh-floor loft units in particular have serious heating and cooling problems, the HVAC systems are undersized, run constantly, are expensive to operate, and...
still struggle to maintain a comfortable temperature.

Unfortunately, the most disappointing part of my experience came after moving out. Despite leaving the unit in move-in condition, management attempted to charge for routine cleaning and painting, which fall under normal wear and tear and are not legally chargeable to tenants under Washington State law. During the move-out process, communication from the leasing office appeared responsive on the surface, but the information provided was inconsistent and changed over time. Concerns were acknowledged verbally, yet the charges still moved forward without clear justification or supporting documentation.

I’ve formally disputed these charges and expect they will be resolved appropriately. I’m happy to update this review if the issue is corrected. Prospective renters should document unit condition thoroughly and be cautious during the move-out process.

regarding building capacity, elevator use, parking management, and security. These are common challenges in larger communities, and we continue working with building management and third-party vendors to evaluate and improve operations where possible. HVAC performance can vary by unit type, and we appreciate this being brought to our attention as we continue assessing system efficiency.
Regarding the move-out process, we recognize how important transparency and consistency are. Move-out charges are assessed based on documented unit condition and established procedures, and any disputes are reviewed through a formal process to ensure accuracy and compliance. We understand you’ve submitted a dispute, and it is currently under review.
We value resident feedback and use it to improve communication and set clearer expectations for future residents. Thank you again for taking the time to share your perspective, and we welcome an update to your review once the matter has been resolved.

Nightingale Staff 10/10

I have been with Nightingale for a less than a year, and I can honestly say their staff has been nothing but helpful since the day I moved in. Josh and Clifton are always welcoming and willing to help with any one-off requests. Great dudes.

Unresponsive

Property looked great online but no response after requesting a tour online and by phone over the course of a week. I guess I dodged a bullet on this one because if they treat their prospects this way then I’d hate to see how they treat their residents.

After no response Seattle I went to the property in person seeing if I can set up a tour. Was told it they’re going through a management change and very short staffed but were not willing to accommodate. Leasing agent was rude and indifferent.

Good management

I submitted a service request online to repair my refrigerator. The service person comes soon and finally replace the refrigerator. All the other devices is brand new and in a excellent condition.

Also, the management team is friendly and helpful. They always standby to help.

Terrible management

Called and emailed them many times and no response. My appointment got pushed off two times. Noticed only an hour before the appointment that they are fully booked while they put me on schedule.
