Bad experience

I was never able to see my unit until the day I moved in. When I moved in there was a huge dark spot on the carpet in the living room. It was a huge pee strain and it made the entire apartment smell like pee. I had hired a carpet cleaning company to come out.
There is dog poo everywhere outside. No one cleans up after their pets here.
Now I've been here almost a year and I got a lease renewal email that says my rent will go up $250! I'm in a classic unit... Aka old falling apart cabinets and...
chipped countertops. I reached out to the office and they explained they are charging the price of an upgraded unit... Aka newer cherrywood cabinets and countertops. I said "why am I being charged for an upgraded unit if I'm in a classic unit?" They said they no longer rent out classic units and I can get moved to a new unit if I choose. Maybe they never moved before because it cost me $600 to move all of my stuff here and I'm sure it will cost the same to move to a new unit. Also my security system charges $300 to move to a new unit! So I asked if I can get 50% off rent for one month while I move and they said no we don't do that.
So my only options they are giving me is to stay in a classic unit while paying the price of an upgraded unit or pack up everything and spend $900 to move to an upgraded unit (or of course find a new apartment complex all together)

Would not recommend

The current property namagement company Nexus by far the worst since I have lived in these apartments
They are not a local company so if you have an issue that isn't getting addressed at manager level it's very difficult to get ahold of someone. The office phone you are unable to leave a message so once again its very difficult to get any issue/ maintence request addressed. The plumbing is causing constant leaks. We 2 had 1 in a month span. Causing serious water damage to the carpet...
that was barley addressed. Emergency after hours calls are not always addressed. On a Saturday our AC went out and it took 4 days for it to be looked at. When asked as to why the delay Krisyal said its based on the temperature outside. While my internal temperature reaching 87 degrees. We were unable to get any circulation due to our screen porch door being gone and not yet replaced. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The location Is not worth the headache.

Water Damage

I would not recommend this apartment. From the beginning, we have had serious maintenance issues that have never been properly addressed. The air conditioning unit leaks water inside the apartment, and now the apartment is also flooding from rain. Despite reporting these problems, management has not provided a permanent solution, leaving us to deal with water damage and the constant stress of living in an unsafe and unhealthy environment.

If you are considering renting here, be aware that the...
building has major water intrusion problems and poor management response.

Property Poorly Managed

The property is very poorly managed. The office is closed randomly during normal business hours and you cannot leave a voicemail as the box is full. The maintenance teams turnover is extremely high to the point where maintenance request sit for months with no resolution. AC being off during the summer months should be a priority but, it is not. The provide a 6,000 BTU portable AC, which is good for up to 250 sq feet, which is severely lacking.
