Living in garbage

If you want to live next to a landfill, this may be the place for you.

I moved in last September, and the garbage situation has been disgusting from the beginning. My apartment is next to the trash room, and I was never warned that every weekend it would overflow with bags of garbage left sitting for days. On more than one occasion, trash has remained there until Tuesday, leaving the hallway and my apartment smelling like a dumpster.

This is not an occasional problem. I have taken photos and...
documented the garbage situation every single month since I moved in. There is a consistent record of overflowing trash, filthy common areas, and garbage being left for extended periods of time.

Unfortunately, the problems do not stop there. The water pressure in my kitchen sink is so low that washing dishes takes forever. Maintenance has attempted to repair my dishwasher at least eight times, and it still leaks.

I also tried to transfer into another apartment away from the garbage room in the building and was told that the unit was no longer available. More than a month later, that same apartment is still being advertised for rent. That experience seriously damaged my trust in the management office and how residents are being treated.

The garbage odor is constant, and basic maintenance issues remain unresolved despite repeated requests.

I would strongly recommend that anyone considering living here to look closely at where the apartment is located in relation to the trash room before signing a lease.

I would not choose to live here again.

Nice Place, some things to work on

I’ve lived in the Current for the past 2 years, it’s a great location (right near the river & downtown Richmond) and a nice building. It’s very convenient, plus the facilities are new. The maintenance is fine, I personally haven’t had any problems. The few things I didn’t like so much was the parking is hard to find around the building (if your not paying for parking in the garage) and the Fire Alarms go off fairly often. It’s gone off at 2am three times in the past couple weeks, which is pretty... annoying. Not sure why, idk if it’s a maintenance issue or what. But 6 times in the past 6 weeks is absurd. But other than that it’s a great place to live. I’ve enjoyed my stay here, but am ready to move.

Highly Satisfied

Nice, new building that gives you the modern feel but with great prices! This was my first apartment by myself and the staff, especially Caitlin, made the process so easy and manageable for me. The affordability is surprising with the quality you get from the units.

Nice, new building with great management.

I love living here. My apartment is nice. It gets a little loud at times, but honestly doesn’t bother me too much unless it’s super late at night. The management is great, especially Grace and Ethan. They are super friendly and know what they are doing.

Such a Cool Building

Wow, was my first impression when I walked through the doors. The build is amazing and everyone was super helpful. There's a brewery and food hall just down stairs.
