My experience with this community has been frustrating from day one. Unfortunately, the front office staff often seem more focused on controlling the narrative than addressing legitimate resident concerns. If it made financial sense to break my lease, I would do so immediately.

Looking back, there were several red flags I should have taken more seriously:

- Leasing staff spoke negatively about other communities, which in hindsight felt unprofessional.

- I was pressured to reserve a unit... quickly under the claim that prices would increase. Instead, prices later dropped—and I was never offered the lower rate before signing my lease.

- My move-in experience was far from smooth. Several services were not working for days, and there was little to no proactive communication or resolution. I was left to figure things out on my own, despite being required to pay fixed fees for these services. Residents should not have to chase down basic functionality or absorb the cost of unfulfilled services.

- I was asked to have friends and family submit 5-star reviews—even if they had never visited the property. This was openly justified to offset negative reviews. To me, this raises serious concerns about transparency and integrity. When staff and even employees who live onsite are contributing glowing reviews, it creates a misleading picture for prospective residents.

Pros:

- The maintenance team is excellent—responsive, professional, and consistently goes above and beyond.

- The location is a strong point, especially for walkability and access to green space.

Cons:

- Front office staff can come across as abrasive, dismissive, and at times patronizing.

- There is a lack of accountability, with issues often redirected back onto residents.

- Communication is inconsistent or nonexistent, especially when problems arise.

I have lived at Ellison Museum District since they very first opened in phases. The staff has always been SO nice. I really like maintenance they come in and change my air filters, always kind staff. the common areas always smell really good and its always super clean. overall i have really enjoyed living at Ellison!! :)

The fire alarm goes off all the time. All the time. Sometimes its 10 minutes, sometimes its 30 minutes or more. Theres never been a fire. This place sucks and I cannot wait to move out.
