Beautiful Building

I’ve really enjoyed living at The Wainwright. The staff is friendly and responsive, and maintenance always takes care of things quickly. My apartment is comfortable and well kept, and the building feels safe and welcoming. It’s a great place to call home in Norfolk!

HORRIBLE NEW MANAGEMENT

This place has new management in 2024 and I really cannot overstate how horrible they have been. I was left without working heat for an entire week while temperatures dropped into the 20s. It’s impossible to get in touch with anyone, they are unresponsive and ignore maintenance emergencies. Do not live here under any circumstances, not worth the headache for the price. I would give zero stars if I could.

Nice community

Going on my 2nd year at this property and haven't had any issues. Love the location is walking distance to bars and restaurants but still far enough to not have to deal with all the noise. Great monthly social functions and the rooftop is fantastic!

Great Location, Poor Leasing Consultants

I lived in the wainwright apartments for the better part of 4 years. Each year it seemed like the restrictions and expenses increased and started to outweigh the benefits of the building. The views are second to none, and i never had an issue with utilizing the roof top lounge or grill area- which is the highlight of the building. However, the leasing office continuously got worse in communication as the years went on and it seemed as if I was doing their job when it came to following up with... questions/concerns (often times i had to contact them 3-4 times before i got an appropriate response). There aren't that many residents in the building, this didn't make any sense. They started to charge, or threaten to charge, for every little thing and it started to feel like i was living in a college dorm.

The location is great, but i dont know if i would recommend the building moving forward.

Too overpriced

The rent is way too much for such a little space. All of my appliances broke and my place went under water earlier in the year. The pet and parking fees are ridiculous. Although, it is very convenient living downtown and the view on the roof is amazing. Still, I would not live here again or recommend it.
