Decent community with poor management.

Will charge you for normal wear and tear including lightbulbs after you move out.

They're only getting 1 star because there's no option for 0 stars. In other words I rate them 0 stars. For starters all of these reviews stating that it's a peaceful and quiet neighborhood are full of it. The Greens of Salem Run, now known as Hideaway Townhomes is a want to be hood. While living there from November 2019 - December 2020 there were two killings that I know of, a drug raid as well as multiples arrest due to domestic violence and drugs. We have watched drug deals go down in front of... our townhome and multiple on foot police chases through the neighborhood and arrest. It was so bad that our children rarely went outside, and our family barely visited because they felt unsafe. The leaves sat piled in the cul-de-sacs the entire Fall (they only focused on maintaining the cleanliness around the main office). There was always trash everywhere, to the point on multiple occasions my husband and our oldest son would clean up in an attempt to help the maintenance guys. We moved out last month, because of the amount of stress and anxiety we felt. When covid-19 hit, we were hit hard and received no sympathy. The letters and phone calls kept coming. Even from another property manager in another state. They even sent out a letter praising those who paid on time and scolding those who didn't. JRK Reality (Property Owners) decided to fire the previous Property Manager because she refused to evict people during their hard time. To end this we allowed them to keep our security deposit to cover the prorated rent and anything else that they may have needed to fix (smalls holes from picture hangings, gate, blinds, etc... We were certain that our over $800 security deposit would be enough, but no! They charged us $300 for touch up paint. $300!! So after doing the math, they're trying to say there was almost $600 in damages! Do not waste your money here. It's not a family friendly community. They lack consistency, they're unprofessional (purposely ignores phones calls, emails, takes multiple breaks, dressed unprofessional in what looks to be bedroom clothes). And good luck complaining to JRK Reality, they're a trash company as well. They use to own townhome community in Stafford, VA and they handled that property just as poorly. Read More

***Please do not rent here*** This place is not going to be what you expect. I lived on the property for 3 years. Problems with the leasing office/maintainence crew arrised almost immediately. There's no... grace period, which they don't tell you until after/during lease signing. I had a job that paid me bi-monthly, which they knew. Not one time did they mention during the rental process that not having a grace period and being paid bi-monthly may cause problems down the line. No concern or regard for their tenants or prospects. Just bad business all the way around. These people have shown that the late fees collected are more important than anything. As of August 1st, you cant pay your rent without a fee. They dont accept money orders anymore. It now costs $3.99 for money gram, between $35-75 to use debit/credit card depending on type, and a cashiers check is $5-10 at most banks. You can write a check but beware because the money comes out immediately. Theres no way around fees with these people unless you are well off. Also, the maintenance crew only fixes what they feel like fixing. My dishwasher wasn't working earlier this year. It took almost 3 months before they came and fixed it. And when Bruce showed up he was mad and told me that he hates working on dishwashers. I put a work order in for the plumbing in my bathroom a few months ago. Only issue is they need bigger or more dumpsters. Staff is nice, place is clean and the pool is great.

Downstairs: Living room, bathroon (sink & toilet), kitchen, pantry closet, closet with shutter doors for washer dryer side by side, back exit to separated fence (from neighbors) with concrete patio and outside storage closet. Patio roomy enough for grill, sitting chairs and open area remain
Upstairs: Master bedroom has view of behind apartment of open field and trees private bath and shower, large closed with shutter doors...adjacent is full bath/shower and entrance... to second bedroom with walk in closed. The view is facing front of apartment...parking lot ( and parking is not reserved...just a given, I guess) Unauthorized vehicles will be towed, but visitor parking availible. Read More
