The Potomac River, which is 3 miles wide at this location, can be viewed inside through... large windows or outside from the front porch or from double chairs at the river's edge. Hardwood floors and tasteful decor throughout the cottage please the eye, enhanced by the natural light from the many windows. There is a tall table with two chairs in the kitchen as well as two taller chairs at the granite counter. The bathroom with tub/shower and private bedroom is screened from the front of the house. Through the back door in the kitchen, there is a covered porch and laundry.
Nearby wineries, historic sites and parks provide opportunities for other daytime activities. Nighttime activities range from star-gazing, boardwalk strolling, beer sampling and live music at two in-town breweries, tiki bar hopping and casino gambling at The Riverboat.
Wake up to sunrise over the river and then enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch as you watch ospreys, eagles and cormorants fish for their breakfast. Then hop on a bike* and take an easy, scenic 3-mile ride along the river and bay side. Or jump in your rented golf cart to tool into town to a quaint shop or family-run restaurant -- no chain stores here!
