Great area to live with easy access to downtown, public transit (TRAX station within a block, Frontrunner station is a 5 min bike ride), and the highway. The apartment is under new management as of fall 2017 and we have not had any problems since; Kathleen has been responsive to all our calls and emails within a business day. The apartment is spacious with a great open concept layout, large kitchen, and tons of storage space. The apartment building has a modest gym which is especially helpful... during the winter months (much easier to keep up the motivation to go when all you have to do is walk down the hall instead of going out in the cold!). The 9th Central neighborhood area is up and coming and a wonderful growing community to be a part of. There have been numerous new restaurants and businesses that have opened up in the two years we have been living here including Laziz Kitchen (best Lebanese food I have had anywhere in the U.S. hands-down), Fisher Brewery, Water Witch bar, and Meditrina. The apartment was pet-friendly when we moved in, but it looks like that policy may have changed. Would definitely stay here longer if work wasn't relocating us out of state!

Don't put yourself through this...
I was warned by several former tenants not to sign a lease with Axis. I liked my apartment and was tired of searching, so I ignored their cautions. Big regret. Yes, the location is great, but not worth the hassle. From day one, I had issues. I picked up my keys, all set to move in the next day, and was assured that all the information I needed would be in a packet of information that was handed to me. Very inconveniently left blank were the spaces to tell me the door code and my assigned... parking space. So frustrating when you're already dealing with the stress of moving! (Side note, if someone else parks in your spot, you can't have them towed, and management does absolutely nothing--hope that doesn't matter to you!) I personally had to call 911 TWICE within the span of 2 months. Both times because of insane behavior by other residents of the building (check police reports on the SLCPD website to see for yourself). Whatever background check they claim to do is wildly ineffective. And, of course, moving out has been an absolute nightmare. My emails aren't returned, my phone calls rarely answered. They will give me information over the phone, but won't provide anything in writing. I was told that I would be notified when they found someone else to rent my unit. Surprise! I was not. Luckily I called before paying all of May rent. I honestly can't tell if it's incompetence or willful bad business. I believe the same company owns a couple of other apartment complexes in the Salt Lake area, so I would urge you to do your research and not get involved with this shady company unless you are an attorney or have one on retainer. And to you property owner: Yes, please unconvincingly tell me that you value my feedback. I tried numerous times to resolve these issues with your staff before posting this review. If you truly cared, it would have been evident at that time.

Modern and Downtown
This building is in a perfect location in Salt Lake City. You are blocks away from downtown and the Trax line. The common areas are very cozy with a modern design. You get more square footage for a lower price than other apartments in the area. The building has great views, a large patio with barbecues, a game room, a theater room, a fitness center, extra storage, and secured covered parking.
