Great Apartments (but some strange policies)
My wife and I lived here for about year and we loved it! The apartment was nice, management was incredibly friendly, and we were HUGE fans of the clubhouse’s movie room! When we initially signed a short-term lease, we weren’t sure of our upcoming plans which was the appeal of the 3-month lease. Part of that flexibility was reflected in a higher monthly rent. Upon finalizing our plans and liking the Fields, we wanted to lock in a longer lease but were told we’d be stuck at paying the premium rate... unless we upgraded to a larger unit (we were in a one bedroom/one bath). This was eventually what made us leave as we soon realized we could have larger spaces (3 bedroom/2 bath) in the same neighborhood for lower monthly rents than our one bedroom was costing us at the Fields. It seemed like a very one sided policy that slighted tenants in favor of the property owners. The other misleading experience we had was getting unexpectedly docked on our security deposit for professional cleaning fees. While we certainly lived in the space and made it our home over the year we lived there, my wife and I intentionally left a week of overlap with our new place’s move in date and our move out date at the Fields to deep clean the apartment. We patched and painted every hole, as well as deep cleaning every surface, cabinet, and shelf. During our brief move out inspection, the office employee said everything looked great and didn’t mark down anything on our move out sheet. When we received our deposit in the mail later, we had been docked 2 hours worth of professional cleaning (mind you - it was a small one bedroom/one bath apartment). While it was only $70 of cleaning fees, our issue was more in the misleading nature of the “refundable deposit” that doesn’t charge for touch ups or carpet cleaning. When I reached out to the office, I was told that professional cleaners are brought in on almost all of the move outs. I actually think that’s a great policy as the apartment was very clean when we moved in, but it should be stated clearly then that part of your deposit is non-refundable, and professional cleaners will do the deep cleaning upon move out. My wife and I spent several nights after work for a week deep cleaning an apartment that was going to have professional cleaners brought in anyways that we’d have to pay for. It was a waste of our time and unfortunately, a very bitter way to end an overall positive experience at our first apartment as a married couple.

Unresponsive Staff and Misleading Information
I’m really disappointed with how this apartment office handles residents. When my fiancée and I first moved in, Sami — the original worker who helped us — told us clearly that if we ever wanted to upgrade to a larger apartment, the process would be simple and handled just like our initial application. She said we could continue our lease and move units without any issues.
Ever since the staff changed, everything has been the opposite. Jayden constantly brushes us off with “I’ll look at it... later” or claims he doesn’t think we can upgrade, even though we were told otherwise. Another staff member, Andy, gives us the same vague answers. Meanwhile, Sami was the one who actually knew the process and helped people apply, so we know it can be done.
We’ve been trying for weeks just to submit an application to upgrade, and they either ignore calls, don’t respond, or act like they don’t care. It’s incredibly frustrating.
Maintenance is just as bad — slow responses, no sense of urgency, and zero follow-through.
Overall, the place itself might be fine, but the current management and staff make everything harder than it needs to be. Communication is terrible, nothing gets done, and promises made when we moved in have not been honored. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on how residents are treated.

Thumbs up
I think the apartments are quite nice. Management is knowledgeable and helpful. I like that there aren’t hidden fees and that all that needs to be paid for is electricity. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt like this place deserves it.

Disappointed
I wanted to leave more than one star. I really, really did. The apartment is massive and roomy. The front office staff was nice initially, the maintenance personnel have been nice, and I expected to be happy here. Unfortunately, the charismatic Andy up front disappointed when actual issues with the apartment arose. My electricity bills have been INSANE. I’m talking $200+/month when my thermostat has been set at a modest 68 during the day and 66 at night. My apartment even faces the south in the... winter for added sunlight. I have paid more in electricity the last 3 months here than I have in an entire year at any other complex I’ve lived in. When maintenance requests were submitted and e-mails exchanged and I finally had a chance to speak to the regional (Whitney) about it, she was condescending, disrespectful, and certainly not treated as a customer/tenant looking for an adequate solution to the problem. I am on the 3rd floor, with adequate sunlight - things that should be helping their case. Yet the unit is bleeding energy and the complex refuses to make the situation right. Severely, severely disappointed in how they chose to handle this matter. I will not say “don’t move here”. You can make your own decisions. But be mindful and listen to the reviews. This is my first time writing a poor review and I’m saddened I needed to. I hope this helps make your decision clearer.

Nice Apartments
Kacey Tollefson- The apartments are really nice but the management team was lacking and difficult to get a hold of when we first moved in. The amenities are nice but get closed/break often, although it has been getting better.
