There’s a 1% chance you’ll have your apartment ready for move in when they say they have it ready. They will not answer the phone if they choose not to answer that specific person. It might look nice and all but trust me it isn’t ! also be careful with the lease ! There’s also a random $95 charge of what they just want to keep , it even says extra rent... on the lease . I have been a resident at Cypress at Stone Oak, and my experience has been extremely disappointing
For approximately seven months, my air conditioning has not functioned properly. I have submitted 17 maintenance requests regarding the issue. Two weeks ago, I was informed that my HVAC system needed to be completely replaced, yet the replacement unit was not ordered until this week. My air conditioning has now completely failed. While management installed two temporary window units, I have not... been given any estimated timeline for when my permanent unit will be replaced.
Communication from management has been frustrating and unhelpful. When I attempted to obtain updates, I was told by the acting manager not to ask questions of the leasing office staff because they could not provide answers. As a resident, it is unclear who I am supposed to contact if the office staff cannot provide information regarding major maintenance issues affecting my home.
The Package Concierge system has beeb offline for 20 days, preventing residents from accessing their packages. I am expecting a time-sensitive package and have been told there is no way to retrieve it and no estimate for when the system will be restored.
In addition to these issues, there are serious concerns regarding resident safety and communication. For several nights, unfamiliar individuals have been repeatedly walking through our building hallways and floors.
After speaking with one of these individuals, I was informed that they were hired to conduct fire watch patrols because the building’s fire protection system was not functioning due to a reported broken pipe. Residents were never formally notified that the fire system was down, that fire watch personnel would be entering the building throughout the night, or that there was a significant issue affecting the property’s fire protection system. Learning this information from a third-party patrol worker rather than management is unacceptable.

These concerns come on top of ongoing issues with maintenance delays, lack of communication, and unresolved property problems. Residents deserve safe living conditions, timely repairs, transparent communication, and management that takes accountability when major building systems fail.

The entry gates never work, the hallways smell like decaying animals, the elevators constantly break down, and just a general uncleanliness is present throughout the whole complex. When you have an issue the front office staff is useless because their turnover rate is so high no one knows anything. Not to mention the entirety of building 5 has been without water for almost 48 hours and they seem to be doing NOTHING to fix it

Our cars were broken into. Found out that none of the security cameras worked from another tenant, from when their car was broken into. Turns out it has happened to multiple tenants. The office had yet to send the footage we requested for the police report.

They moved us in with half installed appliances, and fire alarm batteries beeping. We were told not to adjust them and they would, and they have not. We ended up replacing the batteries ourselves.

Our upstairs neighbor is incredibly loud... to the point we have had to call the police multiple times. Shouting until 3am, throwing objects, and having multiple loud guests over as well. The complex does not do anything about it either.

Save your money. Do not rent here. You will pay Stone Oak prices for some of the worst rental conditions I have ever experienced. Read More
