Documented Experience: Garage Property Destroyed, Lease Terms Changed
I spent over a month trying to resolve this privately before posting. What should have been my family’s home became one of the most stressful housing experiences we’ve endured, causing significant expenses, missed work, and ongoing stress.
Early in my tenancy, I received a lease violation for a noise complaint without being told what noise occurred or what needed correction. Later, when my household experienced repeated disturbances, I was required to submit multiple videos before management... would act. I also experienced recurring issues including broken glass, cigarette debris, pet waste, smoking, late-night activity, and maintenance entering during an open work request without notice.
The garage incident changed everything. I paid extra for an enclosed garage I actively used for my vehicle, household belongings, work-related property, sentimental items, luggage, electronics, and gym equipment. After being away for a documented short period, I returned to find belongings, according to my photos and documentation, discarded into dumpster contents, damaged, contaminated, and unusable.
Management later apologized in writing and repeatedly confirmed that I could move out without early termination penalties. I specifically requested any required paperwork in advance but was not provided it. Relying on those written communications, I secured housing and relocated my family. Later, materially different terms were presented and significant charges were assessed.
I have maintained written records, photos, and audio documentation supporting my experience. Management may view events differently, but this experience significantly affected my family’s peace, trust, and stability.
