Dont take the discount it is a trap

Broken appliances, roaches under all of those appliances no matter if you are cooking or not. The AC will work and not work in random days, constant hot water shut down, people leaving clothes in the laundry for half of the day. No lights beside bathroom and kitchen. Some room will be cover and cigarettes smells from the under or upper apartments.

Resident - They won't fix anything.

I've lived here quite a few years now, and I'm really glad to be heading off. While the staff and maintenance crew are really awesome people that I get along with, they don't repair anything unless it's a garbage disposal or a light fixture.

Our bathtub will overflow into our kitchen past a certain point, and they never fully repaired it. Our windows don't open or shut properly, leading to a variety of other issues, and their idea of fixing that was to give us external butterfly locks instead...
of actually fixing our window. Our vents have mold/mildew/SOMETHING - growing/coming out of them. They didn't acknowledge it was mold, they said it was mildew from a leaky roof, which they hadn't repaired. They cleaned out the vents for us... only for it to return a month later. This has led to health issues in not only me, but my animals, and ACTUAL mold growing on a bunch of our belongings because of the moisture coming in through the vents. My immediate next door neighbor has damage in his home and around his door from Harvey still, with no attempt to repair it.
I don't even bother with the exercise room because the machines are always broken.
The laundromats always have several machines that are broken to the point people will actually take someone else's laundry OUT of the one working machine to do their own...
And it seems a lot of tenants here tend to yell and scream in the parking lot. Often. That's not the management's fault, but it sure is annoying.
If you chose to live here, I hope you get lucky and won't ever need a major repair. Out of the three units I've lived in here over the past seven or so years, it's just this current one that's had serious issues that they just won't fix for some reason. Perhaps it's just this unit in particular, or that their management changed hands several times in the past few years, but several of my neighbors have expressed the same concerns.

Resident

Stay away! There are many other better places to live close by. If you go to University Green then go to another complex, it will make the second complex look that much better. The maintenance guys are good for small things, I.e. Broken cabinet doors or garbage disposal not working.
To begin, there was an apartment fire around May2017. The amazing thing is that complex officials had made it known that they were to inspect the buildings and apartments for a safety inspection the day of the...
fire. That did not happen but the fire did. No one from management had a clue why it happened even a week later when I asked what to look for in my apartment. I've heard that it was faulty air conditioning wiring in the last couple of weeks. About two weeks after the fire, I saw the maintence guys clearing the debris. A week or two after that there were contractors to make the actual repairs.
Secondly, there are community washers and dryers. The major problem is the maintence of the machines is horrendous. Three dryers at building 1, where the mailboxes are, haven't worked for at least a month. I told management a few months ago. At least one of those dryers haven't worked for around a year. It sucks when the machines takes your dollar and your clothes are like they just came out of the washing machine at the end of the dryer cycle. I was told that none of the dryers in the building on the other side of the complex work. Management seems more concerned if people are in the pool after hours(open Monday-Saturday from 0800-1800) than making repairs.
Thirdly, the door to building one does not close on its own as I noticed once it began to warm up this year. Most of the residents don't bother to close it behind them.
Next, the buildings look like they need to be renovated. It appears that some buildings have sewage overflow when it rains. Some of the buildings roofs look wavy.
Finally, the US flag etiquette isn't followed. It is not illuminated at night, it is not lowered or raised at all.
To conclude, this apartment complex leaves much to be desired. Problems range from simple things like proper US flag etiquette and repairing a door to the laundry room to more complex and important things like up keep of the builds. Finally, there are many better options for a place to stay close by.
