Tate Tanglewood is a TERRIBLE place to live.
I have been a resident at Tate Tanglewood over the last year and have had various issues since moving in.
First off the neighbors at Tate Tanglewood are extremely noisy and very inconsiderate. The Neighbors I have above me are extremely loud. Kids constantly running and screaming, loud arguments, constant banging, and dog barking. Went upstairs to talk to them about keeping the noise down and they literally told me “My neighbors are noisy too, so I... will make as much noise as I want to in my apartment.” Complained about this issue to the office for 7 months, sent dozens of videos for documentation of each noise complaint, and the office told me there is pretty much nothing they can do. Neighbors across the hall are also very noisy, kids consistently running in the hallway, and people arguing in the hallway late at night.
The walls and ceilings at Tate don’t help with any of this noise as they are very thin with nothing solid between them to insulate sound.
The police are frequently called to Tate so get use to seeing them all the time. Elevators go down at least 1-2 a month. Door for the garage breaks every month, so the “Secure” garage is pretty much wide open throughout the year. I have seen multiple cars left on bricks in the garage over the last year. Also the way the garage is laid out is an accident waiting to happen. The garage is very small with not much room for 2 lanes of cars to drive through and have people park on both sides. Lot of smokers at Tate so the hallways will frequently smell like cigarettes, weed, or trash. (There are a few nights where I came home and the hallway literally smelled like poop.)
Living right next to HEB sounds great, but is actually the worst! HEB deliveries come in during the night, so expect to hear loud banging from the pallets they move or the alarm from trucks backing up anytime from 12am-6am. (Good luck getting a good night sleep).
Dayrise office staff is only available to talk about issues half the time, the other half they are either not available or busy. The only person useful in the office is the maintenance manger Rudy. He addressed all my maintenance requests as they came up. Him and his crew have their work cut out for them though, as things are always breaking or going down here.
But yeahh living at Tate Tanglewood has been very bad. (I am literally counting down the days until I move next month) DO NOT MOVE HERE!! You have been warned.

It was great when I first moved in and then it went down hill. Everything is/was broke, maintenance takes forever to do jobs. Halls stink and aren’t vacuumed or cleaned. Started seeing lots of roaches. And we can’t open doors or parking garage gates from our phones anymore. Part of the reason I chose this property.

In a word, it's a disgrace. The management is indifferent, the building smells like les and is full of insects. We are looking forward to the end of our contract.

Demond has been very helpful sorting out all our moving in needs and has speedily addressed all our issues. Maintenance promptly fixed a leaky sink faucet! The community is quiet and the apartment is very nice and tidy. They really focus on making sure the place is well-kept and comfortable!

Parking sucks and the mail is not secured for receiving packages. Anyone can go and pick up your package if they have access to the package room.
