The community is located right across the street from Discovery Green, George R. Brown Convention Center. Location is everything! A short walk to Toyota Center, Minute Maid Park and lots of restaurants in every corner all within a 1-2miles from the community. My apartment has real wood floors, updated kitchen, shower and tub convo. My view from the 32nd floor is beautiful at night. There is always something happening at discovery green, the night before we had fireworks and drone show, how cool... is that. I got a good price on my unit. It's about $300 less than the newer hi rise around the corner and about 500sqft bigger. This building also has a grocery on the ground floor and a 5-star restaurant on property. I lived here for a year in 2018/19. I loved the location, one of the best downtown. I was on the 28th floor and the views were excellent. Watch out though, mgmt will move you in at about a 35% discount and then, even while telling you they won't raise it on you much in the years to come, once you're moved in they'll jack the rent up on year 2. Also make very sure you take pictures of the floor on move-in at all the different times of day. One Park Place is right across the street from lovely Discovery Green Park. It was a pleasure to walk my dog there during my time at One Park Place. Unfortunately the maintenance was bad; my unit suffered from repeated ceiling leaks which the management did not seem to be able to fix. Over several weeks the ceiling leaks continued and worsened with (despite repeated claims that the problem had been resolved) water coming through ceilings and down walls, and entering the unit through a light... fixture among other places. Curtis at the front desk will know you by name the moment you move in and staff goes above and beyond to tend to your needs making things easy. From closet buildouts to to planning a party, they are there to help. The views are simply amazing and being directly in front of Discovery Green has it's perks. Had a bad experience with management. I was concerned moving there with children that we would bother neighbors. I was told they NEVER had any complaints about noise from children because the walls are condo quality. Well, we had constant complaints from our neighbor, who is a nice man, but it was very stressful trying to keep two kids quiet. Management was extremely unhelpful.
