My wife and I lived there from May 2024 to July 2025. Overall the units and location were nice but towards the end and after the lease ended we have had horrible problems with their front office communications and property management. We extended our lease to month to month for the last two months we were there. I reached out multiple times to the front office to ensure that our internet would extend in these extra months as wifi/internet is managed by the apartment. I communicated the urgency... of this need as I work from home and they assured me they would be able to extend the wifi alongside the lease (including a week before the initial lease was supposed to end I received an email saying the internet would cut off and they again assured me they extended it in this email). Of course, my apartment did lose wifi on the date of the original lease termination despite the apartment’s assurance that they would extend it. We eventually moved out in July 2025 and have not received any communication (email or mail) from the apartment complex/company and then in October we received an email from them saying we have a delinquent payment of about $500 for cleaning fees (including $125 charge for “paint depreciation”). We cleaned the apartment thoroughly upon move out. I called multiple times to the number provided to attempt to settle the balance and even went to the property to settle it in person and was told they could not settle the payment at the property and I would need to call their settlements team or corporate office. When I tried to call the number I was given for settling the payment, it just directed me back to the Wallis and baker leasing number for general inquiries, which was never answered upon calling nor would my calls/ messages to the number be returned. Weeks later after I emailed asking for clarification on the unsettled payment, I finally received an email response informing me that this balance had already been sent to collections. We have never been late making a rent payment nor did we ever have any complaints against us so for the property management to send us to collections after not responding to our attempts at communication is incredibly frustrating. I've lived at Wallis & Baker for about a year and a half, and the changes since the new manager took over in late 2023 have been amazing. Previously, there were issues with the responsiveness and security, but now things are much better.

The team is very responsive. Maintenance requests are addressed often within the same day. They're friendly and professional.

Security has also improved significantly. they've added security that patrols at night, so now I feel much safer walking my dog late... .

The community atmosphere has always been good, but now it's even better.

Overall, I'm happy with the positive changes. The improvements in responsiveness and security have made a huge difference, and I'm happy to be part of this community.I will be renewing soon. Highly recommend Wallis & Baker! Read More

Do not live here! They pretend to look organized and cute but this place is an absolute mess. They will charge you for unnecessary costs, never send maintenance on time, and you won't get your deposit back (even if the apartment is cleaner than when you moved in). The neighbors that are noisy are never confronted, nor are their barking dogs either. Parking is a nightmare, so good luck! You have been warned!

I never write negative reviews but I have to about Wallis and baker. It was the worst place my husband and I ever rented from. It was unsafe. So many cars were stolen and broken into due to a broken parking garage gate that would remain unfixed for a whole month at a time. Management and staff were extremely rude. I’ve never had such a bad experience with any apartment staff. Any small issue they would not respond promptly, I remember being frustrated several times due to the attentiveness of... the staff. Unsafe & incompetent management !

There was a killing in the apartment beside me. The property did not issue out any information pertaining the incident and when I asked to terminate my lease I was told incorrect information and forced to stay! Talk about traumatic !

The gate is always broke! Takes months to fix which is another safety concern! People can walk right through the garage into the building. There were several car thefts during my time on this property!

Right across the street is... where you’ll find drug activity as well.

Management will tell you one thing then their billing partner will tell you another! Very incompetent and back-and-forth about policies that the property manager should know and safety concerns!

Turnover rate for their property managers is very high! In one year this site has had 4-5 new propery managers.
