Thirteen years ago, my ex-husband destroyed our family and lives and I was left to pick up the pieces of a teacher's salary with two young daughters. Any issues, while minimal, I had with my home were immediately addressed by management and maintenance staff. I didn't just find a place to live, the team there felt like family. We wanted a place that was safe, family-friendly and close to Fort Bliss without the major traffic that plagues the East and West sides of El Paso. We chose the Village for those reasons. The community always felt safe even when I would take evening walks around the neighborhood. We enjoyed the family-friendly amenities like the splash pad, playgrounds, and walking paths. The Village also hosted various little events throughout the year to try and promote community.

The home itself was in good... condition. The house we lived in had some updates that would make it better like the doors (some of our doors were sticky and made sounds when we would open them). However, I was able to visit other houses in the neighborhood and noticed that different homes had different refurbishes to it. I also know that as we were moving out, the maintenance team was already getting ready with improvements and refurbishes they were going to make on the home.

One of the best aspects of living at the Village for me was how responsive and open to feedback the team members were. I remember requesting email notifications for unforeseen events that would close our splash pad, and they started to send them out. They responded to my phone calls and emails whenever I had questions. The maintenance team there has been stellar in my opinion. Whenever we put in a maintenance request, I don't remember having to wait longer than a day receive a call that they would be in to try to fix it. I highly recommend The Village at Cottonwood Springs because of it's perfect location and their excellent maintenance team. This neighborhood also has a great community atmosphere with two different parks to take advantage of. I often take my dogs to the private dog park here and made friends with several neighbors that way. Their maintenance team is super responsive, even minor issues are fixed within 24 hours. One time, my dog locked me out of the house on a Saturday, I called the emergency... maintenance number and was back in my home within an hour! I’ve had a great experience here! The team goes above and beyond, maintenance is quick, and the community is always clean and inviting. It really feels like home.

The yard was filled with various trash including screws, glass, nails, charcoal, and dog poop upon move in. Inside the house all of the bedroom carpets were stained with dog pee. Including the floor by the bathroom. Even though it was "professionally cleaned" prior to the last tenant moving out! The doors were painted and then shut closed so they sticked constantly and don't want to open. The windows that can be open were broken upon move in as well.
