My experience at Century Park started out pretty well, but the move-out process completely changed how I felt about the place.

After I moved out, I got charged for several things that felt excessive and unfair. I reached out to management in good faith, explained my concerns, and asked them to review the charges. They did respond, but I never got clear documentation backing up some of the charges before it eventually affected my credit. They neglected to communicate with me regarding coming up... with something more realistic - just sent to collections.

One of the most frustrating things was being held responsible for bed bug treatment. I never had any bed bug issues before living here, and I strongly disagree with the idea that the problem came from me. With the condition of the building and the visible gaps and cracks between units, I think other explanations should have been seriously considered before putting the blame on me.

There were also ongoing maintenance issues during my time there. The community laundry room was often dirty (disgusting in my opinion) and the washers and dryers seemed to be out of service or just not well maintained. Plumbing problems in the apartment were another recurring headache.

Probably the most concerning thing was that I was on the property during an active shooter incident while walking my dog. Obviously management can’t control every crime, but it definitely raised some serious concerns for me about safety and security in the community. Place was really going downhill by the time I was ready to move.

What bothered me most was the overall feeling that residents are treated more like a source of fees than actual tenants. I tried to communicate professionally and work toward a fair resolution, but I left feeling unheard and unfairly blamed.

If you’re thinking about renting here, I’d really recommend documenting everything, taking detailed move-in and move-out photos, saving all your communications, and carefully checking any charges you get.

I lived at Century Park apartments for one year and it was easily the worst experience I’ve ever had or even heard of at an apartment complex. There are roaches EVERYWHERE. The infestation is completely unmanageable and the complex is aware and is still letting people move in to these infested units. They will happily charge a monthly pest control fee and the “pest control” services that do absolutely nothing because roaches are living behind holes and gaps between cabinets and other unreachable... areas. The final straw was when I looked in my pantry to find roaches crawling all over my food and when calling the office they told me I could stop by for a roach trap that they keep on hand in the office just to call back minutes later to say they were out of traps. On top of that, this complex will try to milk every penny out of you, for example my registration sticker was out one week and while waiting for my new sticker in the mail, I found a tow notice on my car and when calling the office they told me there was nothing they could do about it. They are also happy to charge a monthly amenity fee while the laundry units are always broken, I even had hundreds of dollars worth of clothes shredded up in a dryer at the complex. I like in building 16 for a little under a year, for that time we had a constant roach problem and a rat problem for a while, when we would contact the staff that we had a rat or roach problem we would get brush off. Best they did was put a sticky trap down in the kitchen, poison wasn’t a option because I have a dog. the worst place I've ever lived in my life, rats, cockroaches, strange people following you, ac breaking in the summer.. first it was the ac that broke and they left us without ac for months, always trying to say that I was the one who was crazy and that the ac worked. until my husband went to complain and then they changed the unit,.. then there was a problem with a guy who lived or at least walked around the parking lot.. the guy kept following me and I informed them several times and nothing... was done

I've lived in these apartments for two years and it is not a nice quiet neighborhood. There are constantly sirens and loud cars and gunshots heard here. I can hear every step and most conversations that my neighbors have, as well as the dozens of unsupervised children that run around the property destroying things and screaming until late into the evening/night. There are always broken down cars parked along the roads. The apartments idea of pest control is to bring in roach glue traps but only... when you complain about the roach problem, and that is what you pay monthly for. Pictures are deceiving, especially of the workout room and pool area, the equipment is old and torn and gross and the pool half the time is closed and un-accessible.
