Unfortunately everything about this apartment is disappointing. They constantly have leaks, the fire alarm going off, the pool is always green, and the management team is completely unresponsive. Not to mention how unsafe it is there and all the break-ins.

Disappointed
I recently moved into the apartments and it has been an extremely disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews prior to signing my lease and definitely experiencing buyers remorse. First I went to wash my new towels in the washing machine and didn’t pay attention there was residual water already inside. The washer did not work. I’m thinking don’t you all do quality checks before people move in? They did bring me a new washer however when it was time to use the dryer... it did t work. I called in a maintenance request three times explaining my clothes do not dry and I keep being told it works. I literally ran the dryer all night and my clothes were still wet. Today I go in the kitchen open the cabinet underneath my sink all my paper towel and belongings soak and wet. Not sure where the leak is coming from. Super frustrating especially when I have such a demanding job who wants to put up with this nonsense. I’ve been taking my clothes home on the weekend to wash. Wish I had followed my gut and moved into the new construction apartments in Portland.

Be warned, luxury price but substandard construction
This place certainly is not luxury. Start with its exceedingly poor construction. Venting for dryers and fans, as well as, seals around doors and windows are so poor that water literally pours in through ceilings and ac vents, open your dryer to find standing water in the machine, mold grows on walls and ruins clothes. I have pictures and video of it all including furry green shoes from my closet. In-unit AC frequently clogs triggering your air conditioning to shut off in the middle of the... South Texas summer (not pleasant). Carpet thresholds pull away from the subfloor. The parking garage drips white goo from the ceiling on foggy mornings (which are frequent in Corpus Christi) staining cars and the parking garage. The elevators seldom are all operational, and the pool if often green and closed. The entire complex has been "trimmed" in mismatched, flickering and broken led lighting which is unsightly to view and obnoxiously bright in your windows at night. I agree with the other review about poor business practices - I was unfortunately a day late on rent while travelling and was charged a late fee equivalent to over 60% of the rent due. Extreme, if not abusive.
I gave it two stars because they do have a descent coffee machine if your willing to wait until the office opens mid-morning for your caffeine.

Poor Business Practices
My wife and I were excited initially about the opportunity to lease at the Alexa. However, after filling out the lease application for which we were both charged $329.99 which the leasing agent, Tristan, said shouldn't have happened. We determined that the space was just too small for our needs. We repeatedly called over the next 3 days to let them know the space was not going to work. We received absolutely "NO RESPONSE" from either the leasing agent or the property manager. On Tuesday 3 days... after initially filling out the lease application, we finally received a call back from the leasing agent wherein we were told in no uncertain terms that our money was defaulted due to the fact that they had taken the unit off the market. That was never communicated to us that the money that was charged to our credit card would be at risk. I have repeatedly asked the property manager, Shelby, to call so that we could try to solve this amicably to no avail. I disputed the charges with my credit card company and the charges have been reversed. Now she's threatening to send a collection agency after us. I would tell you to avoid the Alexa at all costs.
