If you want to skip to the negatives and my bad experiences it will be at the very bottom, but all of the nice things will be starting here :) -I’ve lived here for about 9 months now with my girlfriend and it’s been a pretty nice experience so far. When we first moved here the apartments were the cheapest we could find in most of oak hill and sunset valley so we didn’t expect too much or too little from here but it has definitely been more than worth our while in our time here. The neighbors are... super nice and friendly, and the backyard for the 1st floor residents is a nice addition, although having the laundry room outside can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. The kitchen appliances are nice as well and I love the cabinets and countertops. While the whole floor plan for a 2 bedroom may be a bit small, it makes up for it with the nice floors and spacious master bedroom, oh yeah and the fireplace, we used it a couple times, it’s pretty fun.
NEGATIVES -One of the only bad experiences I have had here was the serious flood problem. When it rains A LOT, like heavy rain for more than 5 hours LOT, the parking lot will flood near the entrance, which makes it very difficult to enter the parking lot, and it also may flood up to the door for first floor residents but just remember to park near the entrance or next to the creek. The other experience happened when my girlfriends truck was broken into. Apparently it’s something that has happened on occasion before, but luckily in our case they took maybe $2.00 in change and a pink tazer she kept in her car. My car was close by and had a huge collection of old DVD’s and a bunch of electronic stuff worth probably a lot more, so don’t keep anything worth a lot in your car just in case. Besides that here is a small list of tiny problems that I faced as well. -no microwave (easy to buy and enough space to put it in kitchen though) -no washer/dryer(but there is a hookup) -only 4 guest parking spots (but they are very lenient when it comes to having guests in other parking spaces. -small closets -neighbors backyards can be accessed by simply lifting a handle, so that a little weird, (but it’s cool if you have really good friends next door) -I’ve seen one roach in all my time here, does that count, they are gross and I despise their existance in this world but you can’t really escape it. (There is pest control so it’s all good) -lots of spiders on the back porch so watch out you arachnophobists
