New owners suck. They kick people out who have been there for years with no reason why. They ruined a garden that a veteran was doing without any explanation and the garden looked really nice and helped the veteran not drink. They will not answer their phone for emergencies. They will not walk the apartment with you when you move out. They painted over rusty stairs so be careful there. They charge too much to live there. The Badger at Jackson Apartments are just no good. They use to be great... before they were sold.

Amarillo Corporate Apartments
I had chosen an undergraduate program in Amarillo, and the community college turned out to have a cadre including some of the best professors I have run across. I'm training up for the GRE and LSAT next spring. My bachelors degree and professional work is chemistry, with a lot of DOD training from active duty, so I have something to gauge against. The one bedroom with full kitchen and bath is one block from my campus in one of the nicest neighborhoods - in fact a historic district, so big trees... (unusual for panhandle Texas) and many lovely homes. Very far from the mean streets. Can't beat the rent and amenities, and I have only 34 immediate neighbors. The landlord is a Veteran also, so we get along great. I turned him on to Duke Ellington, and he got his wife the master collection last Christmas. My only criticism is the hard water, but it makes me think of inorganic chemistry. Maybe I'll come up with a more practical water softener method.
