I rented here and it was a miserable experience. When we first moved in, the apartment itself was in lousy shape. There were cracks on the ceiling, cracks in the windows, and the tub faucet looked like it had been pulled out of the wall (which was never fixed). There were crayon marks on the wall, and paint was all over the floor. Steps were warped to the point where my roommate twisted her ankle trying to go UP the stairs. Dishwasher was CONSTANTLY breaking and maintenance kept dragging their... feet to come and fix it. Obviously what they did never worked since it was an ongoing issue. Oven broke in less than a month of use.
The property has a serious spider problem. Not just little guys, but BIG, possibly dangerous spiders. I could never use the back porch, let alone open the door. If you're going to build a property near the woods, maybe try making more of an effort to put in preventative measures from dangerous creatures. Not to mention the neighbors left all of their junk and CAT LITTER dumped out back.
Things in our lives happened and while we were planning to stay longer, we had to move out after a year. Apparently, the staff didn't like that and not only gave us a RIDICULOUS cleaning list, but when we did leave, they gave us an ENORMOUS charge. Like, half a down-payment on a house charge. They claimed we didn't vacuum the upstairs carpet when we most DEFINITELY did. They claimed we left hay all over the floor. I swept the floor the day of our move. They claimed we left behind a bunch of our stuff. We left behind a few empty grocery bags in a hurry to leave on time (we were moving out of state).
If the property managers were so keen on having the unit be absolutely perfect for the next tenants, they sure didn't prepare it well for us when we first moved in. Maybe before charging an outrageous cleaning fee, try making sure the apartment doesn't look like a dump beforehand.

Terrible management
We had no major problems with the apartment until we had to move. We were relocating 6 hours away and we're only two people doing all of the moving, thus we were unable to clean the apartment throughly before leaving. We did all that we could before we had to leave. They charged us an outrageous amount, $500, to "clean the living room, bathrooms, and kitchen", none of which was left in bad shape, but not throughly cleaned like we would have done if we had more time and help. We were trying to... aquire another apartment where we were relocating to, however because of this, Brush Creek gave us a poor reference. After we had been excellent tenants, who were never late on our rent payments or caused any issues. Also, there was a lot of damage before we moved in. The oven and dishwasher simply broke a few months after being there, the bathtub was damaged and never repaired when we moved in, and there were stains in the floors, paint in the carpet, and crayon marks on some of the walls. The neighbors are loud and rude as well. Would not recommend to anyone.

Property Manager at Brush Creek Meadows responded to this review
We’re very sorry to hear that you had some issues during your time in our community. Don’t hesitate to contact the property managers for issues with your neighbors. They are there to help remind everyone to be respectful of their neighbors. Also,... always contact them if you have issues with things not working so we can repair them. If they break again, please let them know; we want to make it right. We completely understand that you are moving and were pressed for time, but the units need to be in the best shape possible for the next tenants. If you’re unable to clean the unit as well as you would like, then we have to get it cleaned. We really are very sorry you had a bad experience with the community, but we’re grateful for your feedback as it helps us know where we can possibly do better.

Great Place!
Brush Creek is a nice place to live. It's a family community and quiet ( the best part)! There is a pool, it's small and often filled with children after school hours but it's not too bad. There's s basketball court and small playground. There are w/d hookups but they also have a laundry facility. I can't really complain about this place except it's a bit expensive but with all the amenities it's not so bad. I haven't had any major problems with my apartment so far except the maintenance men did... not knock on the door or ring the door bell before entering my home (while I was sleeping) so I got a little scare but it hasn't happened again they announce themselves now! When I first moved in I had a serious spider problem (outside my door) but they sprayed and took care of that. All in all it's a great little community for small families, students, and anyone who enjoys piece and quiet!

Our apartment community is great. Really... It is! From the salt water pool to the tanning bed I will never use, this place is perfect for young professionals and small families! Small families including spiders -_- since I have been living here I've had to fight off little spiders mainly at the front door! They're not a problem inside but seem to be very attracted to my front door! I'll clean up a spiders web but sure enough the next night another one pops up. Aside from a childhood book coming... to life the rent is reasonable considering the amenities.
