Property Highlights
Welcome to Drakes Creek Cooperative, your future home near Old Hickory Lake, just 20 minutes from downtown Nashville. Located in the serene and scenic Goodlettsville, Tennessee, our community offers modern living spaces and also the opportunity for residents to own a part of where they live.
We are currently in the process of working with residents to convert this community into a Limited Equity Housing Cooperative. As a resident, you will become part of a neighborhood corporation where members collectively own and democratically control the entire housing complex—not just individual units. As a resident at Drakes Creek, each member has the rights of a home-owner and votes to make decisions for the entire development. You'll be able to participate in governance of a permanently affordable housing development.
Limited-equity housing cooperatives can be pathways to permanent affordable housing for all. Drakes Creek is for residents who make 50% AMI or less. Instead of housing for profit, a housing cooperative is run at cost. At Drakes Creek, we are targeting an annual increase of 3% or LESS significantly less than the average rent increase of 7.5% in the area. Because you get to decide the budget, you get to help manage the costs! If you think this opportunity sounds right for you, contact us today for more information!

Drake's Creek Cooperative is located in Goodlettsville, TN in the 37072 zip code.
I called Hector on June 26 to schedule a tour for Saturday, June 27, because I was interested in a 2-bedroom unit. During our phone conversation, it sounded as though he was participating in another meeting or speaking with other individuals at the same time, which made the interaction feel rushed and somewhat disorganized.
Hector asked me to send my name and email address to confirm the appointment. However, when I arrived at the Drake Creek location for the scheduled tour, I was unable to... locate a leasing office and was not provided with information regarding which unit I was supposed to tour. I drove around the property but could not determine where to go or who to contact.
While I found the community itself to be quaint, clean, and well-maintained, the lack of communication and clear instructions regarding the tour was disappointing and felt unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would be hesitant to recommend the property due to the poor communication and scheduling process.

No foundation. Floors always sagging.
These apartments have no cemenet foundation and are built on dirt which causes floors to give in and my refrigerator has needed changed for months . Ive had kitchen and bathroom floors both tottally puuled out and replaced. Air conditioner is out right now has been out for 4 weeks and still not repaired although they at least provided a prortable air conditioner. My gutter outside is bent and clogged and ppors all out on my patio. Its a good area but management is slow to act and to tell the... truth these apts need to be bulldozed and rebuilt.
