The apartments alone are decent but for the price they want you pay is absurd. Just like any other apartment complex, they will nickel and dime everything. Not worth the money in our opinion. Shelly was the only good thing about that place!

We recently bought a home but lived in the Homestead Garden Apartments for 1 year. The kids enjoyed the playground areas as well as being able to walk across the street to the school playground. The apartment had a very nice layout, amenities, and good value for your money. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If anything in the apartment needed attention, the IRET maintenance personnel were very quick to respond.

The office/management staff and maintenance crew are timely, professional and friendly.

Additionally, the apartments and grounds are kept up beautifully. I'm so happy I made the decision to move here.

We only stayed a little over a year but we had no troubles. The staff were great and worked really well with our military issues. We left early on orders and had 0 issues! I would recommend it to my friends.

When I moved back home to Rapid City after 20 years in the military, I needed a place to live for a year while I found my "forever home". Homestead was that place. From a facilities standpoint, I was pleasantly surprised! After living in military housing and owning my own home for the previous 4 years, I was expecting apartment living to be a little noisy and inconvenient at best. However, the Homestead apartments are very well built and nicely situated -- convenient access to all areas of... Rapid City. Also, I'm a runner, and the neighborhood that Homestead is built in is wonderful for outdoor walking and running -- nearby a new school within a delightful neighborhood and new sidewalks.

But best of all, the management of Homestead made my family's stay enjoyable. In any living situation, there are always issues that pop up -- with appliances, or plumbing, or utilities, or space availability. I found the entire team that cares for the facility to be completely reasonable and helpful in every situation I faced -- quick to fix a door lock, help in a "short notice" move across the parking lot, excellent care of the sidewalks in the winter.... I rented the common space twice for family gatherings, for a delightful Thanksgiving and Christmas time for our entire family.

I totally recommend Homestead Gardens for whatever your future living dream might be -- temporary or long term. If I had it to over again, I'd choose Homestead every time, and am thankful for the guys and gals who made our stay there first rate. : )
