Extremely Disappointing Experience
Without a doubt, this has been the worst apartment experience I’ve ever encountered. The staff, particularly the management team, is unprofessional and disrespectful, and their behavior speaks volumes about the culture they foster. Giavonni and Anne are the epitome of poor leadership and customer service.

Paying for Good Reviews
We are moved into the Christine Apartments in June 2023, into the first building that opened. I wrote this review to be honest about our experience. Some of the recent “good” reviews are suspect because they have started raffling off gift cards if you give a good review. I reported a few reviews and they were removed since they were made by employees of the owning company. The John Flatley Company is the owner and developer of the property. One of the main reasons we moved here were the promised... amenities. These turned out to be our main issue. As time has gone on most amenities are available but are too small for the money we all pay. The pool and fitness center are too small to accommodate the amount of tenants living here, current and future. When the pool finally opened it was not open during the hours in the lease. It is nice to have but was crowded at times when only two buildings were open and there will be eight open this summer. The fitness center has a nice range of equipment but the space and number of machines is lacking for the current five open buildings. It will be even worse when all eight are open. There is only one area for garbage for the property. The buildings are cheaply made and as time goes on we notice corners have been cut. The cabinets are not finished. The floor's glue is still seeping up between the cracks. It takes a long time for hot water to arrive. Emotional support/service animals are welcome with proper paperwork, but we have noticed dogs who likely are not registered with management. And we find poop bags left on the property. We knew there would be ongoing construction. This has become more of a bother than expected. The crews sometimes leave hazards around. There are no traffic lines and zero signage for the safety of the community. I can say that the people in maintenance are great, responsive, and helpful. John Flatley Co has been frustrating to live under. They are out of touch and you can tell they cheaped out on this property when they could have added amenities that supports eight buildings of people comfortably. They chose to go small. We are disappointed and hope management looks into maintaining everyone’s rent accordingly. We know that won't happen. We hope they start doing the right thing by tenants, but we don't have faith that they will. All this to say, we have made do and plan to stay, but the rent is way too high for the location, size/availability of amenities, and other issues we've had.

Not luxury housing
After living here for six months I can definitely say that we are happy to leave. This place is a headache. If you like cheap finishes, expensive (and increasing) rent, being policed by management this is the place for you.
A lot of the reviews from the past month are also incredibly biased because tenants were incentivized to leave good reviews for a chance to win a gift card.
When we moved in we had a handful of issues. Unfinished paint, appliances not working and for weeks we had issues... with the internet provider that the apartment complex works with. A nightmare. But we were patient and hoped it would get better… not. The pool is tiny and even though we were told (and it’s in the lease we signed) that we could use the pool till 10pm we were kicked out 6pm when the office closed down. Not sure why, since they are no lifeguards for the barely 4ft of water. The gym is incredibly small and not available 24/7 like promised. Same with the clubhouse. Can only use it during office hours and it’s closed on Sundays. So no watching a game or movie or playing pool after work or on a Sunday when one actually has time. We pay for this amenities and they are not being provided. But there is an option to rent the back room at Clubhouse for an extra fee… We also had issues with our carpet in the bedroom getting wet after rain, and after we were told it was fixed it happened again so they came and changed the siding. Hopefully this time it will be fine. And about the carpets… the construction is incredibly fast and cheaply done and it shows, we had the pleasure of stepping into two nails that were sticking out of the carpet. We then discovered that there were multiple nails just sticking out and not hammered flush.
The kitchen cabinets are cheaply made and there is no backsplash by the stovetop so oil splatter will stain the wall….the walls…someone really smart decided that a matte finish was a good idea for these apartments, so the walls chip and stain like crazy. The kitchen cabinets are also not finished on the top so don’t try and put anything on there because it will fall right through…
There is one trash compactor for 8 buildings and you gotta walk your trash a good 5-15 minutes (depending on which building you are in) or you can put the stinky trash in your car and drive it.
They advertise themselves to be luxury housing but it is not. Don’t fall for it.

Lots of amenities for the price!
Great value for all of the amenities available. In-unit laundry and dishwasher, pool in the summer, 24-hour gym access and a club house with business centers. Location is prime to get to Providence or Newport. The staff is friendly, and the maintenance staff, especially Jeremy, are quick and thorough.

come visit
We have recently sold our house of 38 years and raising 3 children. I have a friend who had an apartment here and told me i should come and see hers. I loved it told my husband he needed to see it. He also loved it. No more mowing the lawn ,shoveling the snow, or being responsible for home upkeep. We chose a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment so the down sizing wasn't too hard. it has been like being on vacation .everything is new and fun. The drawers automatically finish closing and we have a huge... walkin closet! this has been one of the best decisions we have ever made, i plan on telling my friends.
